Cannot agree more with all the other negative reviews. I wish I’d checked trustpilot last year before I paid £400 for a set of knives that looks great but are the worst knives I have ever seen in my life. I am now at knife no 3 that is damaged (chips in the blade, bent tip, fractured tip). There was no response to my numerous complaints I made since last year when the first knife was damaged and I wrote a negative review yesterday along with pictures of the damaged knives and it was removed. They only have glowing reviews on the website. Please do not buy! Just to clarify, the knives have been looked after since day1, handwash only, dried with a cloth, not used for anything other than food prepping. Absolute scam!!!!
The worst experience. Ordered these before checking trustpilot, and tried to cancel immediately. They sent the product and I couldn’t refuse delivery, This is not a UK based company despite the UK domain. The knives were poor quality as I was expecting, so I returned them. Customer service was beyond appalling. Short and nonsensical replies, insisting I sent the knives back to an address is Japan. It’s been 24 days since I sent them and they have tried to be delivered twice, with no luck. I have sent them the tracking details and their customer service rep claim they haven’t heard anything. Avoid at all costs. I still haven’t got my money back, and I am tearing my hair out
Deadly knives - I highly recommend avoiding! They are not Japanese steel they are cheap Chinese rubbish. I’ve had multiple incidents of large pieces of metal breaking off into the food! They could kill someone if they ate it! The last piece that broke off was over a cm long! Company did not respond to my complaints email.
Tried cancelling my order but there was no contact details on the website. There was no phone number. No email. Only a form. NO RESPONSE. Finally found out what the email was. It is a HOTMAIL account. The reviews on the website are FAKE! THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!
Avoid at all costs, these knives are not Damascus steel knives. They are cheap kitchen knives, the kind you could buy in the pound shop. No chance of getting a refund - they request the knives to be returned to an address in Japan. Luckily, my credit card company has stepped in and made a full refund after I raised a dispute for the knives not being as advertised.Once again, AVOID AT ALL COSTS - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !
The first time I used my Sakuto Seiki Japanese Damascus Steel Knife With Blue Resin Handle the tip has already broken off as I was cutting a grapefruit for my Wife, the tip has not been found and I hope my wife has not ingested same.Not a good introduction to this make.
Bought these knives really excited to upgrade and I couldn’t be more disappointed with both the knives, and the customer service. The knives arrived after waiting weeks only for them to be blunt and super light in weight. They clearly hadn’t been sharpened and the handles were weak and felt plastic. Emailed customer service who have been incredibly unhelpful. Please beware, the return address is to a factory in Japan and no UK courier will accept bladed goods. I have contacted customer support three times about this as they reply ‘they must be returned to Japan’ which breaks all UK consumer laws. Really disappointed. I hate to complain but avoid both these knives, and company, at all costs.This is the review I posted to their website… deleted by the company!! Please note everyone that this breaks UK consumer laws - your credit card companies will issue you with a refund when reported to them!
