Review Time
If I could put zero stars I would. Firstly we couldn’t book in until 5pm states 3pm the room had no linen and there is no mattress protectors or pillow protectors. The place is run down! Floor is dirty and the walls are filthy if you young and drunk it would be ok. It should not book families in to the hotel it’s not right! Asked for a quiet room! But this wasn’t the case. We had to leave early. Don’t book this hotel!! It’s just gross
The Shankly sold us a butler masterclass and then told us we could not have both the butler and the class at the same time meaning we received no class and the butler left as he had nothing to serve us. The room was rough around the edges, the bathroom light didn’t turn off, the brunch was stale and the dinner was average. Communication with this hotel is near impossible. We are yet to be refunded our deposit despite no damages to the room. I would like to compile these complaints and investigate what is going on so if you can please forward your stories and evidence to kemioliviaATgmailDOTcom.
It’s exactly what it says it is a grand party hotel 13 of us went for my Hen party. Check in was fast and efficient. The regular rooms were lovely and clean quirky and beds were super comfy. We also had the garden of Eden suit which was out of this world. The staff were very nice and attentive. Food when we’re arrived did take along time to come out and some of it wasn’t 100% up to standard but it was fixed and we were given complimentary drinks as well. The cocktail master class was a bit of a let down it was supposed to be in the afternoon but due to staff issues was at 8pm was very difficult as they had a live DJ at the same time, again we made the decision to skip and enjoy the live music, we were brought over the cocktails fully made and had extra complimentary drinks for the disturbance. Truth be told we had the best time there the staff were wonderful. Would I go again 100% yes.
While our stay at The Shankly Hotel was very positive, despite some communication issues between staff, the treatment I have received after my stay has been abominable. £720 was taken out of my account 3 days after my stay WITHOUT my permission, for a service we had already paid for as part of the VIP package. I am devastated as I cannot afford to have money stolen from my account. A surprise Hen weekend for my best friend has turned into a nightmare. Please do not hand over your credit card to this hotel.
Over 3 weeks without returning my holding deposit to my credit card. Chased multiple times and apparently they have checked and it’s definitely not held. I have £500 pending on my card, sent print screens and nothing. Don’t even get me started on our stay and the service from booking, avoid.
Wow where do I begin… well put it this way me & my partner originally booked our wedding day here for September 2023. Ciara Martin their wedding planner offered us our wedding deal in February 2022…… it’s now June 2022 and we STILL have not heard from Ciara about paying a deposit for the wedding. After numerous emails chasing Ciara, we had ZERO response. We have now picked a better venue for our wedding but after reading all the terrible reviews we definitely dodged a bullet. I think as a Company use need to take a step back and really observe your unprofessional behaviour. Lack of communication is the worst I’ve ever experienced in a company. Utter Shame and really disappointing how anyone can treat customers this way!
