I had warranty issue with my shark cordless vacuum,phoned customer service Monday evening,spoke to excellent customer service representative,videoed the fault ,had replacement part delivered Wednesday lunchtime,could not ask for better service 10/10
I recently won a Shark cordless vac (Stratos) in a competition. I already have 2 shark corded hoover, one large more heavy duty one and a lightweight corded one. I have big dogs and I really have to keep on top of the hoovering! The cordless vac is fab! Charges quickly, automatically changes its suction depending on the floor with its clean sense technology. I tend to use this for the stairs, furniture and it came with car cleaning attachments which are great for the car. The charge lasts quite a while so plenty of time to do the job. I’ve had it a while now and it’s still as powerful as the day I got it. I have had one issue where I needed a new part and the customer services were really helpful and the part was replaced, free of charge, next day. Fantastic, lightweight, easy to use hoover, very worthy of 5 stars! Remember to register your product to benefit from the warranty!
I purchased a PowerDetect Clean & Empty Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner IP3251UKT. It is fairly heavy but looks well made. Like all new purchases I checked for available spares, especially filters, there are 4 in this cleaner (one for odour). One is recommended to be changed every 3-4 months £14.99 (Pre-motor Filter Assembly), expensive in my view when you look at other makes. Online it is out of stock, checking reviews and comments by Shark replies (some confirmations) it has been so for more than 9 months! Speaking to Customer Services they haven't a clue (they were very polite), I also had to send them pictures of all my filters as they didn't know, which one! Two advisors and one Supervisor later (hours on phone) they said it appears the filter has been discontinued but the best they could advise is you would have to buy the kit at £69.99, which includes a replacement filter, not sold seperately! It would take them at least two days to find out what was going on! There was no point waiting so I returned it. No notifications, nothing from Shark so I called and found out it was still with DPD in their Warehouse for 7 days and not returned! Shark Supervisor said sorry!
The item arrived and looked like a rubbish toy. It had two attachments that did not connect anywhere useful? I called Shark Customer Service today and it was one of the easiest and best customer service experiences I have ever had. I have a cordless vac but the "flexology wand" has a design flaw in the hinge so it's weak and subject to excess wear and tear. I have replaced a wand already about 12-18mo ago which cost me £30 to replace.The replacement has again failed in the same place of course, so called the helpline today, ready to complain that I didn't want to spend £30, again, and anyway the part was out of stock...Spoke to a lady called Andreea and she literally sorted everything out within a few minutes. She said the product actually came with a FIVE year warranty... at which I nearly fell off my seat. Nobody told me I had such a long warranty, and I've never seen such a long warranty on a vacuum before. I've only ever seen 1-3 years on electronic goods such as these.Anyway, she is sending out an alternative product number so it will be a different colour but it fits my vac and the cost to me is ZERO. Couldn't be happier... other than the fact I already spent £30 a while back trying to fix the same problem at my own expense hahaha
I bought a shark cordless vac about 2yrs ago ,before I had a vax one which was really good but I'd heard shark were good and my daughter had a corded one ,but from the very beginning it was useless you have to have the boost on all the time the flat floor setting is awful ive stated this to shark they sent me a new top part with the motor but it hasn't really made any difference I'm on my own now a pensioner and £200 for something that doesn't do the job is a lot of mny ,so if your thinking of buying shark pls dont buy cordless my daughter has a corded one and she loves it .
The machine is portable, light and easy to use and generally picks up most floor jetsam.It empties quickly when parked on its stand.HOWEVER.............Re reviewed in November 25All the below x 2.We have used it daily and it gets worse. The hunting up down, just keeps on. Very annoyingThe suction on the floor sweeper blocks itself even with ordinary fluff. Anything bigger, you have to clear it by hand.It requires the filers cleaning very frequently, this is NOT easy as you have to remove the dust box. For that, you have to be very dexterous!!The magnetic catch on the dust box, good idea, but it collects all the little bits of metal, staples,clips filings etc. These will stop the emptying flap closing properly.The automatic sensor between hard floor and carpet often does not work, it hunts up and down whatever surface you are vacuuming.Good luck if you buy one. We are going for another make next time
