Watch out - this company will not remind you of your trial running out and will refuse to refund you if you forgot to cancel. Stating their “terms and conditions.” That’s how a business will immediately avoid this company in the future. All SaaS have similar terms and conditions but offer courtesy refunds if you reach out promptly and explain yourself.
Rubbish scamming company. Highly advise stay away from them - take your money then refuse any sort of refund. Not surprised they scam people need all the money they can to keep the business afloat. PLEASE PLEASE stay away from this unfaithful so called business. Waste of time and money
Have used this online tool for merging and splitting PDFs with no problems. In fact, it is very easy to drag and drop pages, and to add other file(s) to an opened file.It runs so much quicker than many other PDF tools on the market.* * * * *
Horrible experience, canceled my trial subscription on the same day after using it once, didn't do what I wanted it to do. Month later or so I get billed for the subscription. Reached out to there support team and refused to refund me. Reached out to my bank and they managed to get my money back. If you have been charged and they won't refund you. I suggest contacting your bank and get your refund there. Predatory behaviour as other users suggest. Avoid this company.
I submitted a cancellation request before the trial period ended but did not receive an email confirmation. As a precaution, I took a dated screenshot showing that the subscription had been cancelled. Despite this, I was still charged for the July billing cycle. The company is now refusing to issue a refund. Their response:"Signing up for Smallpdf Pro requires you to confirm that you read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions, which state that payments will auto-renew unless you cancel the subscription before the trial ends.By agreeing to the terms, you've allowed the recurring charges for your chosen plan." T&C however DOES stipulate you can cancel. Sent everything to my banks fraud department.
I canceled this service the same day but was renewed and was not given a refund. I can not use the service as my documents are larger than the system can handle so it has been a complete waste. To add insult to injury, at my last use it asked me to renew in order to continue using the service and assessed me a $15 fee on my account. Just to take another $108 from me the next day. I asked for a refund of one of these fees and was still denied. So, no it has not been a pleasant experience.
Predatory behavior I selected a free trial and they said my email was on the system already and charged me for a full year when i asked them to give a refund they refused i tried to edit 1 document and they require you to sign up in order to download the pdf and take you directly to the payment page with free trial written everywhere. Stay away
Didn't provide advanced Pro features during trial as advertised. Provided no way to cancel trial before being charged. Emailed before cancellation date to advise of the issue of having no way to cancel on the account site. They didn't respond till after they had charged me for 1 month. Refusing to credit me back. Filed dispute with bank.
