Excessive charges and disappointing service experience.

The service in Peckham charges £24 for two passport photos, which is excessively high. The typical price for this service in London is around £8, significantly less than what they demand. They attempt to justify this inflated cost by offering 'free' digital copies, but my experience with this promise was misleading. I provided my email, expecting the digital copies to be sent, but they never arrived. When I inquired about it later, I was met with defensiveness and told that I should have followed up sooner. There was no apology or attempt to resolve my issue, making it feel like a bait-and-switch tactic to justify the high price. I ended up realizing I had paid £24 for something I could have obtained elsewhere for much less, likely with better quality. Regarding the photo quality, despite their professional image, they seemed disconnected from actual U.S. passport photo standards. I was repeatedly instructed not to smile, even though a slight natural smile is permissible. The result was a stiff photo that resembled a mugshot rather than an ID. Additionally, I was pressured to change my hairstyle to an unflattering style, despite having my previous hairstyle accepted in another passport photo. This was unnecessary. Now, I am left with a photo I truly dislike on an official document I will need for the next decade. In summary: overpriced, inflexible, and disappointing service. My recommendation is straightforward: seek alternatives!

Strongly endorse the local branch for photo gifts, particularly for passport photos and renewals.

I visited the local branch for some photos, unaware that I could also handle my passport renewal there. The staff were pleasant and extremely efficient. My application was finished and ready to send off in just 20 minutes, and I received my new passport this morning—only a 7-day turnaround. Very pleased! Thank you!

I regret leaving a negative review, as the staff were genuinely kind. However, I felt my lack of knowledge was exploited, leading to an excessive charge: £65 for a simple scan and minor cropping of a standard photograph from the 1990s. I recognize my role in agreeing to the price, partly due to urgency, but the cost seems disproportionate to the service rendered. After discussing this with friends and professionals, this perception was confirmed. Additionally, I was initially informed that the final product would be ready in the afternoon. When I inquired about earlier delivery, I was told it would incur an extra charge. Nevertheless, I received the email with the final product at 10:00 a.m., even though I had entered the shop at 9:30 a.m. Overall, this experience left me feeling deceived and overcharged. Despite the staff's friendliness, the shop has unfortunately lost a potential customer.

Overpriced service

Extremely overpriced. I went into the store with my digital passport photograph for printing and was charged £18 for 4 copies. Another company offered 8 copies for £4. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the luxury of time to wait for delivery and had to pay £18 for just 4 prints. It’s a shame, as the service was otherwise quite professional.

Disappointing experience

I was very disappointed with the service. I entered expecting great customer support, but I had a different experience. I asked for help to print a return label, only for them to print a regular label. The representative tried to make me believe I never requested a return label. I ended up being charged again for another label, which was frustrating. When I finally got the return label, it turned out it wasn’t even sticky! I felt cheated. I could hear some staff giggling about it, which was unsettling. I should have gone elsewhere.
