Useless company,sent me a letter saying i hadnt informed them of an accident,I rang their recovery helpline!,they knew i had an accident.dragging their feet in repairing my car,no communication between them and claims handlers.You feel as though you will have to do the work yourself.AVOID!
Absolutely horrendous company to deal with. I am 2 weeks into a claim for the theft of my vehicle and so far, they have not contacted me whatsoever - I have had to repeatedly chase.None of the timescales they quote have been correct, I have waited over a week for a call from an engineer to discuss the value of my vehicle (which they have massively undervalued) and now today when I ring to chase, I'm told engineers don't phone customers???On top of it all, it always takes over 30 minutes for them to answer when you phone - no matter what time of day you ring.Appalling service, staff are massively under-trained, I work in insurance and these guys are just massively off the mark.Massive FOS complaint will be heading their way!!Steve.
I have fleet policy and a open claim of van theft its been four months and every time I ring I am told we are waiting reply from underwriter Am paying £55.000 a year and hoping to add more vans however the service am getting is not even worth £600
Thank you for settling my claim. As a 3rd party to my own insurance you were very prompt in acknowledging and processing the claim. A special thanks to Linda for for her professionalism and empathy throughout the process. She always kept me informed by phone which I found re-assuring . Although there was an issue with the CAT status of my car, Linda made sure that I was able to take time to change my mind in getting the car transferred back to the reclamation company without any fuss. I really appreciated your fairness.
Had my car stolen on 27/09/24 (nearly 2 months ago) and still no outcome from Somerset Bridge and very little communication. The initial call handler tried to imply that I was somehow involved and implied I only had 1 remaining set of keys after the theft.. WRONG. I had two keys which I sent back to them along with all of the necessary documents they required. They then said that they can't process the claim as they are awaiting the police report, so I applied for the police report myself through a data access request from the met police, once obtained, I sent it through to them on 11/11/24. I called them and let them know that I have sent in the police report and a gentleman on the phone said all looks well, no issues and the claim can now be processed but I have still heard NOTHING. I am still paying my finance of £320 p/m with no car or payout from insurance who are laughing because I paid my insurance in one go at the start of the year! They are doing everything they can to try and not pay out. I have two small children who cannot take transport due to their disabilities and this has totally set me back in every aspect. I dread to think the offer they are going to try and make me on my car which I will reject if is not the market value of my car. My case handler is rude and dismissive, just an absolute joke! I believe they are doing everything they can to reduce the payment they will have to pay the finance company by making me deal with it for as long as legally possible! I will be taking this up with the ombudsmen.
My son was in an accident in August 2024, and to date we are still chasing for the agreed settlement. They requested his DL code so they could check for points, this was provided 3 times and on the 3rd time they then stated they wanted him to access his DL and send the report. (Which he did).They then were apparently waiting for the police report so we obtained this and sent it to them, they were then apparently awaiting the breathalyser results (well as the accident was NFA that should have been indication in itself but apparently not)! A complaint was raised which they have totally ignored so we will be taking it to the ombudsman. When you tell them this they literally don’t care! Staff are rude and arrogant. Reached out to the director on LinkedIn and he advised to email and he would also look into it……. But then he also proceeded to ignore the email communication. AVOID at all costs! They will do anything they can to get out of paying, with little regard to the financial implications to the individuals involved. Disgusting.
