The woman on the phone was absolutely disgusting in terms of communication and respect.Told them about my disease and she did not careLike my car was broken into and the woman was actually implying that my case will be investigated and refused - she said this many times and THEN….Tried to tell me I couldn’t cancel my claim at least 7 times because it’s policy ….. disgusting.And finally after being abruptly put on hold mid conversation again, (multiple times by the way) finally said we have cancelled your claim but will receive a further phone call. Felt discriminated- judged - and made to feel like I was a criminal for trying to get my car repaired.Worst customer service on the earth - that woman should be fired.Avoid at all costs everyone.
Absolutely shocking service from Somerset Insurance. I made a claim almost a year ago for my CLA 45 AMG, and they’ve done nothing but drag their feet. They’re happy to take your money for premiums, but when it comes to paying out, they’ll do anything to avoid it. They kept asking for more and more paperwork, offering a ridiculously low settlement, and even now, the issue is still unresolved. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid this company at all costs. Feels like a massive scam in my opinion.
Just wanted to write a review on the customer service provided by Rachel in the claims department. I’m currently through a really unsettling theft claim at the moment. Although I am still going through the process of confirming settlement figures at the moment, I wanted to thank Rachel for her great customer service, I have managed to speak to Rachel multiple times and she has been great with her explanations and giving full background of the claim and the procedures to follow. I can imagine that resolving claims can be difficult at times when people have varying views but she has been great to handle my claim so far and advising me of next steps should they be necessary.
Terrible communication. Anyone who takes out insurance should check whether this company acts on behalf of the insurer and, if so, avoid it. My car was stolen and this company acted on behalf of my insurance (Goskippy). When the information was requested, I sent it and received no feedback. I had to constantly call them about the developments, but I always got a different answer. They lied constantly. The car was found and they took it to be examined, so we were left without a car with two children for more than a month and they didn't even provide a replacement car. So terrible company. Everyone should avoid them at all costs. If I could, I would give 0 stars.
Our car was involved in two accidents, both caused by third-party drivers, with liability settled in our favor. We filed a claim for the first accident but chose not to pursue the second, as it was a minor scratch under half an inch. However, without notifying me, the company processed a £24 claim on my behalf. They hid this claim information from me; it didn’t appear in the 'claims' section of their website (where the first claim was visible). I only discovered this when a second insurer, who accessed this information through the Claims and Underwriting Exchange (CUE) database, assumed I had withheld information. This unauthorized claim led to an unjustified £1400 increase in my second car's insurance premium! When I called for clarification, I was told that this payment went to call handlers named Car Plus. I explained that no claim should have been filed for the second incident, but they ignored my concerns.After repeated emails with no response, I am preparing to escalate this to the Financial Conduct Authority and take legal action.AVOID THIS COMPANY.
The person I spoke to Karen was extremely helpful supportive and understanding. She reassured me as I was quite anxious as this is my first time dealing with anything like this. I had some personal things going on which I mentioned she was very understanding and offered support. I was very pleased and put at ease
