The staff in the Ashleaf SC branch

The staff in the Ashleaf SC branch are wonderful. Even at the end of the day on a busy Friday, the care and attention I received was impeccable. They are a friendly bunch, and good humoured. 💯

Very bad experience bringing my 4 year…

Very bad experience bringing my 4 year old for an eye test. I chose Specsavers because their website leads you to believe they are specialised in children’s eye tests and clearly state that there is no age too young to have the test but it is preferable to wait until 3 and a half years. I booked online and when I arrived the wrong date was booked despite me having an email confirmation. I was then told my child must be 5 and must be competent in reading the alphabet which she is not. After much too and fro I left as I had lost confidence in them and my daughter was getting upset especially since she was nervous in the first place of a new experience. Such bad service. I will never go to specsavers again

Refreshing

Hadn't had an eye test for 10 years so I was a bit wary. The staff in Tralee were great - especially the optician who did the final assessment. Amazed that my eyesight was found to be just as good as a decade ago. Even more amazed that there was no pressure to buy new reading specs - my old ones (also specsavers) were still fine for me. What a professional and refreshing way to operate. Very impressed.

I had my best experience with…

I had my best experience with specsavers in Kilkenny today! The girl helping me choose glasses was very helpful and not at all pushy..unlike my previous experiences. Also, the Optometrist was equally helpful.Clap on the back Specsavers..i was thinking on going elsewhere based on my previous experiences but you have convinced me to stay!!

I didn't even want to give a star

I didn't even want to give a star, but I have to to write this review, the manager at the square store is so rude and pushed passed one of the staff she couldn't even Apologize to him. I found her so rude and when I asked a question I got a rude answer back. She needs A personality transplant... All the other staff are lovely apart from this person...

Bad experience

Bad experience, lock of knowledge, bad frame, lenses and optics job..I did my 2 glasses with specsavers.was expensive so I told can be good quality..nothing it's not. They mixed up my 2 glasses lenses. Visible because the tint on it. One pink tint another lenses green..on the same glasses. Never back there. Also my son glasses bad checked and given wrong lenses on his right eye..so he often was without. I checked his eyes in different opticians and figured out the specsavers did mistake on his glasses too So really confused with the services what SPECSAVERS GALWAY SHOPPING CENTER MADE!!!!

Specsavers in Eyre Square

Specsavers in Eyre Square shopping centre, can’t say the same about all staff but Aoife, I think she was northern Irish, was exemplary in dealing with my queries. I will be returning!

Alarming experience in Specsavers Nenagh…

Alarming experience in Specsavers Nenagh. I’ve debated whether to post this or not but I think it’s important for people to be aware. I’ve been a customer of Specsavers for at least 15 years. I’ve been in Specsavers Thurles and Specsavers Limerick. I also dealt with Specsavers Nenagh in the past. Never had any issues. They were a brand I trusted. On Saturday I was subjected to an interrogation style appointment. It was the strangest experience I’ve ever had with an opticians. Basically, I got glasses in the 2 for 1 offer. One of the glasses was deemed by specsavers themselves to have a faulty lens. The assistant I was dealing with on Saturday was passive aggressive and seemed out of her dept to be honest. This was my second time going in to resolve the issue. They changed the lens and the assistant made out it was fine now. However, I was still having serious discomfort when I tried on the glasses but the assistant completely deflected on this. The assistant kept repeating again and again that she couldn’t understand what the issue was. She made the situation extremely awkward and I asked 3 times, what is going on? To which I didn’t get any real answer. Things she said to me that stood out as bizarre: “I’m understanding” then giving me an intense stare.“I’ve been working on this for two days”. All the while I just sat there thinking to myself what the hell is going on here. I didn’t react even though It was strange. I do wonder whether this was intentional on her part. I even offered to sign something to say I wouldn’t come back if there was a fault with the new glasses just to find a resolution. She was that full on. I picked out new glasses in the end, but told myself never again! What I’ve learned from this experience is that if you have an issue with Specsavers Nenagh, even if they admit there was a fault in the first place, be prepared to stand your ground. Definitely do not take their word on it. They are extremely resistant to admitting fault and would rather see a customer go without or leave with extremely uncomfortable glasses. I definitely would not let an elderly or vulnerable person attend an appointment here without support. Even better go elsewhere.
