Ridiculously long wait to speak to an agent about my bill - waited for 1 hour 20 minutes to speak to an agent (both on the phone and via WhatsApp). I’ve included screenshots on WhatsApp so Spintel can ‘verify’ their incredibly bad service.Spintel charged me $15 international daily fee for a service which I never initiated and never used. There are no calls or data use on my account during the time I was overseas. Agent couldn’t find any use either, but still had to submit a dispute to Accounts dept. Both issues should be easy to resolve- but obviously not for Spintel.
I was on their 25MBPS NBN plan with a six month promotion period of $49 per month. The product delivered was okay, but I received an email after 4 months saying prices will increase, BUT ONLY AFTER THE PROMOTIONAL PERIOD ENDED. However, for months 5 and 6 of the promotional period they charged the increased fee. I complained and thought it was all resolved. However, I left Spintel because it was really hard to get to this point of resolution. Now that I have left Spintel they have sent me ANOTHER invoice for the increased fees for months 5 and 6.They are really hard to communicate with via phone and web chat, so they are obviously trying to win by a war of attrition.For anyone reading this review, FIND ANOTHER NBN COMPANY that is more transparent with their fee structure and is easier to communicate with. You'll thank me.**Update***Review changed from 1 star to 3 stars. After posting this review Spintel reached out to me and removed their latest set of charges. It was a tiring experience, but thank you for finally resolving the issue Spintel.
I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Spintel's SIM-only mobile plan. In today’s world, I can confidently say that their service ranks among the worst. They appear to be one of the few providers who charge exorbitant fees for exceeding the allocated data limit, yet they do not offer the option to purchase additional data for the plan.This policy is both unfair and outdated. Their approach feels like an outright exploitation of customers, compounded by poor customer service. I strongly advise against choosing Spintel under any circumstances.For comparison, providers like Belong throttle your service once you exceed your data allocation and even allow data sharing between services on the same bill. Spintel, on the other hand, charges outrageous rates for overuse and does not allow data sharing, even for services under the same account.The term "pre-planned robbery" accurately describes their approach. I recommend staying far away from Spintel if you’re looking for reliable and fair service in Australia.
I recently had the pleasure of receiving support from SpinTel, and I must say, the experience was exceptional. The support team demonstrated a deep understanding of their work and acted with utmost professionalism and efficiency. My technical issues were resolved quickly, and I was amazed at how swiftly the setup was completed—from the time of the sales call to connection, it took no more than 2 hours. This is, without a doubt, the best service I have ever received from an ISP. I highly recommend SpinTel to anyone looking for reliable and outstanding service. Kudos to the SpinTel team!
This is the most abhorrent company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They will charge you for a service that on a previous phone call, was told there would not be a charge. They never answer the phone and when they do, they can’t understand what you are saying. They never return any calls. The messenger service is ridiculous, it will say ‘I can see that your query has been delt with’ when it has not. They will do their darndest to not help you but are quick to take your money, for services not used. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. Would give zero stars if I could
I was a customer with Spintel I am keep getting harassment types of bill drspite I have stop services with them . They are not worth it . I have stop their services 3 months ago and they are still sending me bill even though I have returned all of hardware and cancelled their services.
Have been a customer with spintel for only 2 years and I'm already wanting to switch to a different ISP. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE SPINTEL. They are many things but a reliable ISP isn't one of those things. They're inconsistent, unreliable, rude, extremely pushy and manipulative. I am constantly having issues with them; the service will go offline out of nowhere almost EVERY single day, which requires us to unplug it and plug it back in to reset the connection. Regardless of the amount of calls we have made to them the issue is still persistent and I am starting to believe it is a tactic they are using to get people to upgrade plans. They are extremely rude over the phone, constant "fees and charges" on top of the normal rate. I do not recommend this ISP to absolutely anyone. They are utter garbage and they should be ashamed to be calling themselves an internet provider
This company Forward-charges you and does NOT return your money when you stop your service/contract. Eg if you stop on 3rd September, they bill you until 30th and keep the money despite your requests. I had to fetch my charged dollars through the Ombudsman (for services I did not use) - YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!
