Review Time
I received my first bill for a new plan, and it was significantly higher than expected due to double charges. After I requested a review, the double charge was removed, but other unjustified charges remained. I ended up paying $5 more than I should have, which is frustrating.
Automated email saying churn request was raised against my account. I attempted to inform twice and their support chat was down both days I tried to notify it was not me. Service ended up cancelled, and I was without internet for a day. Eventually I got in contact and they got the service up and running again, but this is where things get worse. Even after submitting evidence that a fault on their chat resulted in me having no way to dispute the churn request, and their support agreeing I was not in the wrong, they charged me extra. Around 50% more than my bill should’ve been (for one less day of service too?!?!) It took contacting them 4 times to get this resolved, and their sneaky sales person tried to upgrading my package, selling it as a gesture of good will. They failed to mention I would lose my lifetime discount if I accepted this gesture of good will. They do not know how to make amends when then mess up. On top of that, they then upgraded me to the incorrect package as part of the free nbn rollout upgrade, and refuse to upgrade me further unless I give up the lifetime discount. It’s not worth the hassle dealing with this company
I want people to read reviews from other sites before connecting to their services I had an order and I cancelled it but they still connected to my NBN anyway so that leads to us having no internet at allTo connect to the same NBN port, you have to wait for 5-6 hours before connecting to another provider. First of all it was illegal second of all I didn’t receive any apologies. We are busy trying sort it out for days. Please don’t do this to anyone else.Also when I was trying to cancel the plan, the guy I talked to for only maybe a minute asked me to do a review which took me a lot longer than what he spent to help me.Please read reviews.
Repairs in my area to local NBN resulted in no wifi for over 6 weeks - but when l asked Spintel for help or if I can suspend payments until service returned , answer was no. Extremely unhelpful and would not inform me if I would geta refund on period without NBN access and couldn't suspend monthly payments without cancelling my subscription. I cancelled my subscription. Don't be fooled by their canstar rating - canstar obviously didn't need to resolve any problems. Keep away from this company
I was a customer with this company for over a year, not a missed payment once and I cancelled my service as my business was closing. My payment was missed as my credit card had been cancelled due to fraud, after 2 days of a missed payment of $28 I get a letter threatening legal action if I don't pay immediately, this was after two text messages and emails. Take a chill pill you idiots, you will get your $30.
Terrible experience with SpinTel. I changed my payment method but their system failed to process it. When they put the charge through using my old payment method, they slugged me $15. Then when I cancelled, they tried to charge me for a month's worth of service, half of which I had not used. Under consumer law, you cannot charge for services that you do not deliver if you have not already paid the account. They can only charge you for the service to date of cancellation. Treating customers as if they are a transaction rather than a client. STAY AWAY
I don't understand why Spintel got a award and 4.8 stars at Product Review when they don't deserve them, paid to get awards and high stars? I thought I would transfer from Moose to Spintel for better service how wrong I was, as they are just as bad as Moose. Even those I put in my Spintel account, my Moose account were postpaid they put in prepaid and if they make this simple mistake when I am signing up, what will they be like when I am a customer, taking $10 out for Sim card delivery fee even those I already paid it, staff claims $39 for $29 account and $10 sim card delivery fee for the 3rd time well be taken out even those I paid it etc (Zero stars)
Possibly the worst company I've ever been with. Charges me $15 per day for roaming even though no calls, or data received ever. I turn roaming off, then I can't receive text messages any longer. I try to turn it back on and it won't work until I connect it back again in Australia. So hopefully I don't have anything come up between now and then where I have to move money and verify with a text because there's no possible way to receive texts any more. I can't believe such a company exists and is allowed to operate such a crucial service.
