Could not even contact them to enquire about a new service. Spent an eternity on the phone waiting early this morning and gave up after an hour. Pressed the 1 option to receive a callback when l was at the top of the queue and 7 hours later lm still waiting. Useless thank god I found this out before signing up
Spintel offers 3 different telephone lines for contacting customers.......Anyone can do it at any time of the day, but I warn and guarantee everyone that after connecting with any of their numbers, you will have time to clean the house, prepare dinner, supper for friends, and in the evening take some guests home. After returning home, you will still hear the same "talking parrot" waiting for a connection.... I think it's some kind of African circus.... A shock of the 21st century.
Good experience in the transfer over of service. But, they have made a billing mistake ( charging me $85 a month instead of the agreed and advertised $80 a month). I have been on the phone now for over 2.5 hours on hold just trying to get that sorted. Can’t use my online account as I can’t access it. Another thing I was hoping to correct through calling them.
I asked Spintel by phone to troubleshoot a problem with their voicemail service, when I dialed the voicemail number *96 (which is an outside line) and was asked to provide a password. The female assistant from Spintel told me it was an issue with the settings on my Uniden desk phone and that I should talk to the manufacturer. I asked them why it was possible to make outside calls, for example to voicemail or to my wife, if it was a problem with my phone. They insisted that their advice was correct, so I had no choice but to cancel the phone service.
I’m extremely disappointed with SpinTel’s customer service. It is nearly impossible to reach them by phone – calls go unanswered or are endlessly on hold. Their WhatsApp support is just as bad, with hopelessly slow response times. When they finally reply, the answers are often irrelevant or make no sense, clearly written by untrained offshore operators who don’t understand the actual enquiry.It's incredibly frustrating trying to get even basic support. If you need reliable service or customer care, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. SpinTel has been a major letdown.
Onboarding was great! then is was downhill from there. For the first month I had no service due to network upgrades. Tried calling the company and you will be put on hold for hours request a call back only to be put on hold. My bill went from $54 to $69 without notification. Internet service is very basic - between 7 and 10 pm I had a speed of 0.1mbps, too slow to open an email. Finally went to cancel - internet was ironically too slow to do it online, tried calling for days could not get through to anybody. Now I'm being forced into another billing cycle. Would not recommend this company to anybody.
