Attempting to get parts

I attempted to contact their parts department for a quote but gave up after 10min. The automated voice saying "your call is VERY important to us, press 0 to leave a message" every 5 seconds is exceedingly annoying. Pressing 0 to leave a message doesn't work, it just bleeps loudly at you and then hangs up. EDIT: they did call me back later the same day so extra stars for that and the parts guy was pretty cordial :-)

Lies, false milage, bad customer service: AVOID!

£18k Auris purchased at 43400 miles - on delivery 47500 miles on the clock! The worst car purchase we have ever experienced at Steven Eagell Toyota Colchester. The list of failings includes: car mis-sold with a false mileage recorded on contract; new MOT and service not carried out as agreed prior to collection; staff lied continually that everything had been done; emails and phone calls to provide hard evidence ignored; V5 transfer failed to go through as they ‘don’t bother with receipts’; zero customer service - a toxic and arrogant culture of denial and blame rather than taking any responsibility and simply getting things sorted; simple checks not carried out; incompetence running right through to management; communication on all levels extremely poor; attitude dismissive, unhelpful and dis-interested.A complaint to head office in process. No response whatsoever from complaints also sent to customer services steveneagell and feedback at Steven EagellWe’d genuinely recommend avoiding Steven Eagell Toyota Colchester at all costs if you want an honest and helpful approach to buying a car as well as the tiniest degree of customer service. This company has a serious problem which is not being addressed.

Dealership gone down hill

I sent one of my colleagues into the Luton branch a deal was done with area manager Naseem khan, when my colleague went into the dealership this morning she was told the car had been sold, she has sold her current car thinking she would be getting a new Toyota Argo, but was told nothing was available until the end of July. I have bee purchasing cars for the last 15 years at this dealership 2 purchases in June alone, I don’t think it’s by chance that 43 % of people are leaving 1* reveiws

Wolverhampton, you should be ashamed of your service.

Absolutely shocking, don’t go anywhere near Wolverhampton dealership. All departments are horrible, especially the Aftersales service department. Sales don’t care about customers after they make their sales. After sales are even worse - technicians make things up as they go along, poor workmanship and don’t respond to any calls or emails except a copy/paste reply on the review forums to send the query to the “feedback” email and “senior management” will look into it - trust me they don’t care!!!

Absolutely disgusted in the end with…

Absolutely disgusted in the end with customer service at Northampton Steven Eagel Toyota. Asked for weeks now to get car service history and no one cares to respond at all! Emailed Melinda, no answer, emailed Ze, no answer, manager is useless completely. When asked why my address was shared to a third party and i get their customers showing up at my doorstep, there was no appologies no reaction at all! Terrible communication, extremely dissapointed. I believe my car was sold with no serbice done to it so now they escaping it.

What use to be a great dealership to…

What use to be a great dealership to purchase a vehicle from has sadly declined immensely!Sammy, the sales person should know better than to leave prospective customers waiting around for some 20 minutes, under the pretence of gathering fictitious information (not even about finalising a deal) but about whether a vehicle is avaliable! Very poor show. A sale lost to VW now. It was a sad day when Azraf Chowdhury the previous enthusiastic sales assistant left the company. The purchase of a new vehicle with Azraf was seamless. A lesson to be learnt both by the dealership and sales consultant 'Sammy', if one sale was lost, how many others have there been lost to inefficiency.

Hopeless time management and customer communication

We went in for a service 1130 -1245 at bishops Stortford. Not done by 1.30pm. Then we got a vehicle check showing two punctures. We accepted a replacement so long as immediate. One hour later still waiting. They just keep saying it’s being worked on. But obviously it is not. Eventually got the car back 4 hours and 10 minutes after arrivalHopeless time management and terrible communication from dozens of staffThey did apologise at the end and have us a discount

Beware Steven Eagell Tamworth Car sales

On May 31st 20-24I bought a second hand yaris off Steven Eagell Tamworth Reg AU12YJE for my daughter. The front bumper was not well fitted due to what appeared to be a small bumper accident .Prior to the deal The dealer agreed to refit the bumper. It was an absolutely awful repair, you could see where they had tried to use a clear adhesive glue to sick it together.Anyway I foolishly decided to go ahead and buy the car after which i took it to a local body shop for repair. The body shop said no wonder Toyota could not refix the bumper as the car had been shunted on the offside pushing the wings out of line making it impossible to repair or refix the bumper without some body work being moved back into position. I went straight back to Steven Eagell and they were very off handed and did not want to know .They refused to take the car back or do the repair correctly. I cant believe Toyota would offer a car for sale in this condition I have also had previous problems at this site where repairs were not done mechanics saying there was not a problem Only to change their minds when I showed them face to face what they needed to do .So be warned do not expect good repairs from this garage or after sales service Also beware of any car you may buy from them . They appear to lack integrity when selling carsAfter much complaining at director level I was contacted and advised I could have a refund.I returned the Car Monday 3rd June and as requested handed over the car and keysThen Steven Egell’s sales manager refused to refund the money until I gave him the registration document. Which of course I did not have as it can take up to twenty days to receive this document ,I did of course give them the tear off V5 which would enable Steven Eagell to get the registration document direct. I feel this Tamworth branch is beyond belief the way they deal with customers. Of course I emailed the branch manager along with Directors and I was emailed By the Branch manager stating payment would be expressed that day and I would receive payment 6th June .In actual fact the payment was not received till 10th JuneI just cannot believe a large company like Steven Eagell would treat any customer like this .So be warned be careful if dealing with this company

bz 4 x worst car ever produced by…

bz 4 x worst car ever produced by Toyota do jot buyI ordered a bz4 x with a tow bar and waited 6 months for it which is fine. car turned up without a tow bar! I was told when I ordered it I would get a charger for it for a reduced rate of about £300, when I got the car they said that the deal had finished and I could not have one, since owning the car I have done 3000 miles and Toyota state that it should do 242 miles to a charge, the most I can get without air con on is 170 miles. its a joke! they have had my car for 3 weeks and are not able to improve this as no fault with the car as they have sent the data from the car to Toyota GB which they say is fine, this means the car has been falsely advertised in the real world. Toyota customer services basically said to me on a phone call that the car will not do that range if you drive on a dual carriageway . I can't even go to Gatwick airport and back on one charge as it will be motorway all the way, Steven eagle basically said there is nothing they can do and there is nothing wrong with it, they also said I did not order it with a tow bar which is rubbish as you can not fit a tow bar after the car has been built , I have had about 5 Toyotas from this dealership and always with a town bar, the conversation I had with tom today was very negative as really said its tough and nothing they can do and when I said about trading it in they offer me £20000 less than what I paid for it with 3000 miles on it! customer service is non existent, I have sent many customers to them who have purchased cars from them over the last few years which I will not be doing again! you would think that they would offer one kind of resolution to help. so many people complaining about this car all over the internet how can they say there is nothing wrong
