Disappointing Customer Service and Rigid Complaint Handling

I’ve been a regular user of Talabat in Dubai, but a recent experience has left me frustrated and disappointed. I received a wrong order and promptly reported the issue through their support chat. I provided clear evidence — including the delivery receipt and photos of the package — yet their team insisted on a very specific photo of the food items themselves, which I no longer had, as the items were disposed of once I realized they were incorrect.Despite explaining the situation and submitting the available proof, Talabat refused to offer any compensation or resolution. Their approach felt rigid and dismissive, lacking the flexibility and fairness you’d expect from a leading delivery platform.I understand the need for verification, but when valid proof is given and the customer has a genuine complaint, there should be a willingness to investigate with common sense and not rely solely on technicalities. This experience has really shaken my trust in Talabat’s customer care.

Always missing items and no proper customer service

Twice this week they missed out my order for water bottles. All they do on the phone is reel out apologies which mean nothing. No proper customer service training. It’s like they’ve just been trained to keep saying sorry and that’s it. No care. I also got put in ICU after a nut allergy attack from one of their restaurants and stated nut allergy on my order. Didn’t even get a refund and the manager of the restaurant lied and said I went into the restaurant and said I’m okay so they closed the case and that was that. Really no care at all for proper customer service. Sorries are not customer service. They need proper training.

Offers are fake, don't order this app

They are lied about the offers, its not fare that i am paying more than usual. When I contacted customer care they keep asking put star on there service before they short out the problem, customer care itself cheating they were told me they pay me back which they charge more, after that nothing happen..

5 years of the worst customer service

Been using Talabat for over 5 years. Loyal customer. But I’m done.They canceled my suhoor order 10 minutes before Fajr during Ramadan, even though I placed it an hour earlier. No refund to my bank—just left the money in the app. I deleted it back then and only recently gave it another chance. Big mistake.Today, same mess. Urgent order, delayed for an hour, then canceled for no reason. Called support—they said “wrong rider.” Gave me a weak 50 EGP voucher like that makes up for anything.I told them, “You’re losing a loyal customer of 5+ years.” They didn’t care. Just kept repeating scripted apologies and useless compensation.Talabat clearly doesn’t care about customers in Egypt. Deleting the app permanently. Don’t bother if you want reliable service.

Horrendous

Horrible horrible customer service. Although to be fair there would actually have to be some sort of customer service to review or rate! Just a joke...delivery driver made delivery literally leaking out the bag...then told me it's not his problem and I should report it...customer service was then so ridiculous that after sending 3 pictures still refused to do anything. I've finally just decided to delete the app. Not worth it.

Wrong orders and horrible contact center

Wrong orders , damaged orders, continues lie of driver had an accident when the delivery is slightly far yet they accept the order and customer contact center are robots who have memorized lines without being able to deviate from it even robots nowadays can be more creative in their replies

I had 2nd delayed Talabat order…

I had another delayed Talabat order from low calories and I got no follow up call and no compensation as usual. I am not surprised that call center only compensate people of same nationality as them. I think this should be investigated cause it’s true. They will always remain as the lowest rank in terms of customer care.

So easy to order food

Just love this app. It's so easy to become addicted to. I've always had positive experiences with ordering food.The only negative is that the service fees and delivery prices keep rising, which makes me think about actually cooking my own food.

If I could rate it with zero stars I…

If I could rate it with zero stars I would. Avoid at all costs- delivered food that was completely inedible, and they refuse to do anything about it in the way of compensation. It has been nothing short of appalling. I’ve paid for a meal I could not eat due to the state of it at delivery. Use any other delivery company you can.
