E karting was ok we did 4 sessions but they were hyper sensitive about yellow flags taking every opportunity to let a 12 year old tell us about safety - somebody who’s never been on a real racetrack probably. The karts themselves were quick enough and the track fine for kids. The staff in the main part were helpful and courteous. Whatever you do do not order any food it’s was absolutely dreadful and undercooked. It was also very expensive I spent over 500 on the day.
Had a terrible experience at the TeamSport Acton location. My whole team came here from central London for an event that we pre-planned several weeks ago. However, after arriving, getting changed and doing the safety briefing, we could not race because their system was having issues. We were waiting around for 1.5 hours to no avail as the venue was understaffed and unable to fix an apparent system error. We were eventually sent home and told we could not race even though others were here racing. Very poor and disappointing experience. I would not recommend booking a team event at such an unreliable location.
We had our son's 9th birthday party at the Bournemouth track on Sunday 30 March. A few days prior, we rang TeamSport to enquire regarding their menus and whether we had to pre-order food to cater for allergens/dietary requirements for some children. Whilst being told that food can be ordered on the day, not one of the staff had confirmed, in the run up to the event (and the numerous conversations we had with TeamSport leading up to the birthday) that any food associated with specific dietary requirements had to be pre-ordered! There was also no mention whatsoever on the TeamSport website regarding pre-ordering food for children with allergies! Both myself and my son's mother spoke with call centre staff Katie Cunningham and Ellie (refused to provide her surname - that in itself tells you something); neither of whom were helpful and on asking, Ellie refused to acknowledge our complaint and put us through to speak to someone more senior! Unbeknown to them, TeamSport do cater for food allergies by simply ordering on the day but in the absence of that information at the time, and given that I was utterly disgusted at the level of customer service we had received, I reached out via LinkedIn, on a bit of a whim, to Symon Wooldridge COO. To my pleasant surprise, Symon contacted me with the hour and soon after called to apologise regarding our experience and asking what he and his team needed to do to make things right. As a result, Paul (Ops Manager at Bournemouth) and his team looked after us incredibly well and my son and his friends had a superb experience. Thanks again Symon to you and your team for putting things right - it's incredibly impressive for a COO to personally respond to customer service feedback and go out of their way to repair any reputational damage. I wish plenty of other organisations cared enough to make amends and put things right like Symon and his team has.......we'll definitely be back.......Best regards,Chris
After 2 poor visits to Teamsport, I tendered a complaint to head office voicing my concerns. I then received a very positive & professional email back apologising for my unfortunate experience with their company & offered me 2 free sessions for 3 people to make up for the bad experiences of before.I'm hoping that these are more enjoyable than the previous visits! But I do feel that it was dealt with in swift & professional manner.
I contacted Luke AplinEvents Co-ordinator who happened to take my call as I needed help with moving a booking - for my son and I.Luke was absolutely fantastic at resolving my query and was so polite. I don’t normally write reviews due to a busy schedule but this is top notch karting support and service! Cheers Luke Aplin - we will be booking more sessions this year.
I had some concerns after a recent visit to TeamSport Edmonton, where the session felt overcrowded and didn’t quite meet our expectations. I shared my feedback, and I was really impressed with how seriously the team took it.The customer service team followed up quickly, handled everything with professionalism, and clearly put in the effort to understand our experience. It made a big difference to feel heard and valued as a customer.Special thanks to the customer support team for their hard work — your thoughtful response really stood out!
My experience for my boyfriend’s surprise birthday at team sport go karting was horrible!! First the gates were closed had to call to ask what’s going on. Then walk in and there’s absolutely no one to help us check in, we had to walk around the building to find someone and we only managed to after about 10mins. On top of that they told us to arrive at 3:00 even though our booking was at 3:40 just to set in a bar with no service(no one at all anywhere, just the workers driving around the racing circuit) and not being able to get a drink or snack as there was no one around again to serve us. Then at 3:50 (our start time) we still haven’t even been briefed. After spending £80 I’m upset and fell it was a waste of money due to the lack of service especially for a birthday present.
It was a bit unorganised at start, like feeling there wasn’t enough support for first-time racers (my friend) and the staff seemed a bit distracted. That said, I really appreciate the owner’s quick response and the free tickets—it’s clear they care about improving the experience. I’m looking forward to coming back and hoping for a smoother time next round, with a little more focus on safety and helping new racers and more attention when an accident happens on track.
