Review Time
If you like a shiny thing on your arm, but don't ever need to know the time then this is the braclet for you. When i first had it, it lost a minute a week, now it looses a minute a day, if not more. The amount of meetings I've been late too and trains I've missed is embarrassing. The only thing i like is the saphire crystal glass which makes it still look like a nice shiny braclet.
Very expensive and unsustainable brand! They claimed to be a high-tech brand but overall a lowcost Swatch watch would do a much better precise job on a long term and costs 4times less. Basically with Tissot every 3 years when the battery needs to be changed you need to make a full service costing 110euro otherwise it doesnt work anymore so if you refuse to put more money you end un throwing it!
I purchased a TISSOT Everytime Large watch, which came out the off box with a miss-aligned seconds hand. Since then its needed a new battery every 6 months. On opening the watch to replace the battery, I noticed there was a movement and a lot of plastic. Not the sort of quality for a £150, now £210 Swiss made watch, I would expect. I binned the watch in frustration with its reliability as used for work. My last TISSOT.
My Tissot PR 100 Sport arrived in a box that was damaged inside, how I don't know. The clasp has scratches and the strap is 2 cm smaller than I ordered. Lastly the colour doesn't match up on the images. I have e-mailed with no replies, tried to call to only get a answering machine and no one returns my calls. Now I am stuck with a new scratched watch with a too small strap I have to pay for to get resized. Shockingly poor service.
Reading the reviews about how totally poor Tissot watches are, I don’t feel so bad about posting the following:Basically, it’s not a time piece but a Goddamned joke. I wish I hadn’t spent over £500 on junk. Fed up. It went back to the ‘fixers’ in Southampton - twice. Last year and the year before. They said ‘nothing wrong with it’. I waited two months for its return both times. Ludicrous. They replaced the battery. So what. It DOESN’T FUNCTION. It’s not a time piece. I’ll never buy from this crappy company ever again.
Bought Tissot connect. Have two Tissots 1 mechanical other T Touch Solar. Great no bother for last 7 years. Tissot Connect - wow great, bought in Jun, arrived in Jul returned in Aug. T-Connect software and Connect watch continuely disconnect. Formatted watch several times, latest firmware for watch, T-Connect installed and removed x4. Still an issue. I'll format my phone. Still same problems. Contacted Tissot via T-Connect app. Nowt over 4 weeks, telephone number rings out or leave a message. Gutted but had to send it back as their first venture into smart watch world hasn't been great. Thought it was me at first then you check the forums, same issues, no answers. Some live with it, hats off to you. For nearly £1k very poor Tissot. Minor point Tissot, if your going to put a vibrate unit in a watch that size make sure people can feel it. My alarm was like a feather touch on wrist. Wouldn't wake the living never mind the dead.
I've always liked the design of Tissot watches, especially the minimalist design of the 1853. I had a bad experience with my first one though many years ago with the battery needing replacing almost every 4 months. After using solar powered watches for several years after that, I was given another Tissot (mechanical) as birthday present. However, this lost several minutes over the course of a week. It was returned and exchanged for a battery operated Tissot which was fine for about a year, but this now also randomly stops which is only temporarily fixed with a battery change. This is the only brand of watch that I have owned with such a problem. Tissot do not seem to be the quality brand that they convey. Going back to solar, but definitely not an over-priced Tissot solar!
