Poor quality watch and not great customer service

There seems to be a common theme here... Just out of warranty the watch breaks and a repair 3/4 of the cost of the watch is required.I bought a £500 watch for my wife's 50th. It never kept great time (always lost a few minutes over a month) but a few months out of warranty, the crown fell off and was lost. Tissot want to perform a full service and replace the clasp (why?) for £280 before they'll replace the crown. Really? I have numerous watches at varying prices (High to low) and have never had a crown fall out or been held ransom with extortionate service charges. Never again will I buy Tissot.

I have a Tissot which I bought from Dubai few years ago. I love that watch & it’s not available anymore. I have never given it to anyone, even to change the battery but to Mazzucchelli Jeweller's Rundle Mall Store in Adelaide. I took my watch to change the battery early December last year on a Saturday & by Monday I had a call to say it’s not the battery but water’s gone in & it’s corroded & needs to replace the stuff inside & would cost $450.00. I was thinking to myself it’s waterproof & how could it happen. I collected my watch without repairs (was charged me for opening it up & took it to another repairer because one of my friends insisted. To my surprise, they said there’s nothing wrong with the watch & not corroded either. It’s just the battery & it’s actually working. I am really disappointed and still thinking what happened there??

My Positive Experience with Tissot Chronograph GMT and Their Exceptional Customer Service

I acquired a Tissot chronograph GMT watch, which had limited usage and predominantly resided in my drawer for the initial months. After several months, I noticed that it consistently lagged behind by 5-10 minutes each month. This prompted me to reach out to the after-sales service, leading to a favorable resolution process.Upon contacting them, they promptly dispatched a well-packaged kit for me to return the watch. While they initially replaced the battery, the issue persisted even after a week. I commend their diligence, as they they calibrated the watch and when it did not wok, they replaced the movement entirely, all without incurring any cost.Though the experience demanded some patience, I was genuinely delighted with the comprehensive service they extended and the genuine consideration they showed for the customer's satisfaction.It's noteworthy that I had purchased the watch from Amazon, rather than directly from Tissot. Despite this, Tissot never questioned or hesitated to fulfill their warranty obligations, unlike my ongoing struggle with obtaining warranty service for my Tacota Raymond Weil watch.In retrospect, my experience with Tissot has instilled my confidence in their commitment to their customers and the quality of their products.

I have 3 of these, the first one the clasp over the winder fell off but the dealer fixed that. Now I have the waterproof one for diving and the battery died after less than a year. The dealer tried to replace it but it kept giving a code. Tissot said to send it to them. Almost 3 months later I was told I had to pay $278 for the battery replacement!! For an $1,100 watch?! That is ridiculous, I will not buy another until they return my money and apologize. I have stopped several people from buying one of their watches and will continue until they improve service. I have many luxury watch brands like Rolex, Breitling ,Tag etc. and have none of these issues. If they honestly want to try to be a high end watch they have a massive way to go until they improve their service and consider themselves in the same class. Don't buy this watch .or

Do not buy

Do not buy. My Son was given for his 18th birthday 13 years ago. It has been a nightmare, service is so so expensive. Paid the same as the original purchase price plus a bit in repairs. Hundreds of pounds. I have a watch bought for less than £20 from Sainsbury's 20 years ago that is still working fine,which lets face it is what you require from a watch. Waste of time, literally.

Such poor service for simple battery change

Such poor service. Sent watch in to service centre for battery change. Over 2 months later they have advised me now ready for return after I called to chase. How much longer if I hadn’t called? Very expensive watch and terrible customer service. Really don’t advise anyone to buy.

My wife bought me a $450 tissot watch a few years back. It was used occasionally and the time was not accurate. I thought it was battery problem but when I changed battery problem was still there. Tissot is not a reliable brand, it doesn't have a history, it's just a fashion brand, why are thevy selling it at very expensive prices now? Is it because of their marketing campaign...? Stay away guys

Repair Blackmail

The metal clasp failed on my watch. I have had it for about 5 years and l have had no issues with its operation. I sent it back to be replaced but insisted they would only undertake replacing the metal clasp if l would also pay for a full service. The price quoted was huge! I asked them to send it back as it was. I will buy another watch but never again a Tissot.

Ge, Just on last Friday 20th may 2022 bought new Tissot 1853 automatic watch in Tissot showroom at Bucherer, at Luzern, Switzerland.Without checking the functioning of watch, after the altering the length packed n given to me. After coming back to the hotel, surprisingly watch was not functioning, called immediately the showroom and it was closed. Left a email n so far no action from the top brand office. The next day on the way to Lichtenstein approached the showroom n they refused to attend the issue in advised me to contact any watch mechanic in the same country.. Though delighted to buy a Swiss watch in Swiss, upset a lot. Though there is a international warranty it was not applicable in their own country. Finally decided not to purchase any items in foreign. Better only in motherland.
