Appalling customer service

I sent my old Tissot to the service centre and was advised it was obsolete - basically, if they can’t swap out their Chinese movements for a new Chinese movement, they don’t want to know. They sent me a £100 voucher against a new watch, I chose a seastar quartz which stopped after 12 hours. I tried to return it by printing their returns label and taking it to a dhl service point where it sat for five days, after which they rang me and told me to retrieve it, implying I was somehow at fault. They then said they would send a courier to collect it today, which didn’t happen. This is what happens when legacy brands are subsumed by conglomerates. My old, real Tissot is now with a master watchmaker for a full service.

I bought a Tissot watch

I bought a Tissot watch. After 8 months start failing by 10 minutes every 2 to 3 days. I thought it was low battery. I took it to Tissot shop in Rockingham, I was told it would take 2 to 3 weeks to change a battery so, I went to a technician to put a new battery in 5 minutes but the problem continue. I went back to the store where I bought the watch for inspection. I have received a quote of 300 dollars to repair the watch. Stores says someone else opened the watch, therefore no insurance. My point is how a watch like Tissot fails after 8 months. Now I will put a watch in any draw and I will buy a new watch but different brand obviously.

Sent my Tissot Watch to UK service…

Sent my Tissot Watch to UK service centre at Southampton, as it wasn't working. Repair no. 227272125. Watch was sent back saying because of it's age the parts were no longer available, and it was not possible to service it. On the off-chance, I took the watch to a small market stall in York to see what they thought. The stallholder tested the watch. It "had a pulse", so he opened it up and lubricated it a little as the mechanism was really dry. It now works perfectly. Oh, and parts are available, as we checked in a catalogue for future reference. Shame on Tissot for not really bothering to look at the watch. Clearly not enough money in it for them. This is the first bad review I have ever written. Jon, in York.

Not a serious watch company

Bought a watch for £610 it arrived with a broken clasp, I shipped it to them along with the warranty card and the tag. They emailed me saying I had not included the warranty card despite it being in the box when I shipped it. Joke of a company.

Loses 5 mins a day every day from new

My wife bought me a tissot mens watch for my 70th birthday looks really good, very sporty looks expensive, it was 400 quid, so not bad, BUT it loses 5 mins a day, every day, can’t be bothered to send it back, I won’t buy another, I’d advise you not to either !

Don’t waste your money!

I mistakenly believed that Tissot were a quality watch company. The Tissot Touch watch that my wife bought me as a wedding gift stopped working. I sent the watch to Tissot for repair and service. They have replied to say that the parts for this watch are now obsolete and no service or repair can be offered. The watch is 16 years old. I had mistakenly believed this watch would last me a lifetime. If you are looking for a quality watch that you can keep for an extended period of time please avoid Tissot. Absolutely disgraceful Tissot.

Terrible customer service

Bought the Tissot Connect on a cruise. When I got home I noticed the charger wasn't supplied in the box. Contacted them 3 times with no reply. Terrible customer service. Not the same service you get from other brands. Stay away.

New watch only 5 months since purchase

New watch only 5 months since purchase. It stopped suspect battery, had to send it to Tissot otherwise loose guarantee if taken elsewhere. Complained to Tissot about battery not lasting, said watch might have been sitting in store for long time. Watch was expensive, would have thought they could change battery before sending it (online purchase), are they not a prestige company who want to maintain a reputation? Then to make matters worse it will take them 8 to 10 weeks to return the watch. 8 to 10 weeks to change a battery and post it back. I do not call that quality service. I will not buy from them again and recommend you do not also.Tony

3 months to change a battery!

Bought a watch at Ernest Jones 26 January and watch has stopped working. Ernest Jones advise they must have had it in stock a while. I’m told it’s probably the battery and this will have to be replaced by supplier. To change a battery apparently takes 3 months as due to be returned to me 8 November. I’ve only had the watch 6 months! Appalled - Tissot obviously get a large number of returns/repairs! Be aware and get a different brand.
