trophy cut out, enginr management light on, took to youles in blackburn, got told 3 options as light now gone out,(going to spain/france next month)face an unlimited bill and maybe still not fix it or do nothing and take a chance or get rid of it, as the bike has no fault code. Went to Ribble Valley ATV most helpful, they found fault code for charge of 2 hours, result i thought, sorry Youles
Re: Carl Rosner LtdMy triumph thunderbird 900 would not start having been on a sorn all winter, so I paid Carl Rosner ltd to collect the bike[over £50.00] carry out a full service and mot and fit some heated grips inc extras. the bill came to £543.46!On collection, the bike ran ok for approx 1 mile then rough on the way home [I put it down to lack of use] and then when I put it on the stand, there was fuel pumping out everywhere. I rang Carl Rosner ltd who immediately said, nothing to do with me guv and suggested to try and give it a run, to clear the debris out of the carbs. it then broke down and i pushed it home, [1 mile] There solution was to charge be an extra 3 hours labour to clean the carbs and pay again for collection. avoid this dealer, I will from now on. Having escalated this as a complaint, I got nowhere.Still a fan of triumphs, not Carl Rosner ltd|!
I bought a 17 plate bonnieville from a1 triumph in march I was riding to scarborough 3 weeks ago and it just stopped I rang a1 they said [wat do you expect us to do you,v got free brake down cover use it] and hung up, RAC came out said couldn,t fix it and took it away back to triumph I waited patiently no e-mail, fone, call nothing 2wks later they brought it back and said there was nothing wrong with the bike, no Stop “apology” no o ffer of a loan bike no compensation no nothing I wish I had never used this dealership as there customer relationship is non existent
Over the years I have owned many motorcycles but the two worst bikes I have owned have been Triumphs and both have been the Thunderbird models the first one was the 900 triple which I bought new and it had never been out in the wet and was stored in a garage but in spite of this after only a thousand miles the chrome was pitted and bubbling the dealers response was that the garage must be damp which was untrue Triumph said that there was no warranty on the chrome which I found unbelievable I vowed never to buy another Triumph however in 2015 I bought a Triumph Thunderbird Commander which was around 14000 thousand pounds and brand new after only 300miles and never been wet and stored in a garage the rear wheel had become pitted the dealers response was it only needed cleaning which was utter rubbish as the pits in the wheel were quite evident to get rid of these it would have meant removing the wheel a lot of work and then getting the marks buffed out by a specialist this would be an ongoing process every 300miles or so who wants that .Triumphs response was totally negative and unless I went through a legal process I had no chance of satisfaction so after just 1400 miles I traded it in for a different bike of japanese extraction .I will never buy another Triumph motorcycle .
