First and last time using this appOrdered a small McDonald’s order to be delivered to my hotel before a gig Had an uber booked to pick us up so admittedly a short ish timescale Reviewed the estimated delivery time which was sufficient App showed 3 different riders not pick it up and when 1 eventually did he waited 15 minutes for the food and rocked up half an hour after we had left No customer service help on the app and what’s worse is I paid an extra £4.99 for “priority” delivery I dread to think how long non priority delivery is Over an hour after it’s suggested time when ordering Awful experience App has no customer service and just takes the moneyThere only “priority” is taking your payment as far as I can see
I am so tired of Uber and their shady practices. I order on here often and most times there are no problems but when there is the support is terrible. I placed an order and the store let me know an item was out of stock. I said it was okay and I’d take the rest of my order. I ended up being charged $15 extra dollars in fees and charges because my order amount now went down. So I essentially paid$30 for $12 worth of food. I spoke to a rep who refused to refund anything and kept saying the store had to cancel. Grubhub would never. Once my UberOne expires I’m done with Uber.
All very well until something goes wrong. Waited 2 hours for a McDonald’s. Ended up having to feed kids something else before they went to bed. No apology, just lies about the restaurant being busy when I could see order was ready and he wasn’t moving anywhere near. Raise an issue and can’t get through to a human, then to be told they’ll reply 6-12 hours later. Just spent £50+ on a McDonald’s that was so stale I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Take the pi55 these firms. Avoid and just pick up yourself. Lesson learned
Disgraceful customer service, gaslighting and condescending. Their names: Ziad and Heba. Uber Eats UK.A delivery driver literally pretended he came to deliver my order, showing on the map as being near my flat, but never called or knocked on the door. He marked the order as delivered, never got out of the car and literally ran away with it.I reported to Uber Eats and explained everything as above.Their response was that they would refund me THIS TIME and they're sorry I accidentally marked the order as delivered. WHAT?!This is gaslighting at its best! I replied stating I appreciate the refund but that actually they were gaslighting me, pretending to give me the money out of their good will. They can keep the money! I don't need it thank God! What I need is serious customer service that won't act like I'm crazy / like they're so pitiful! Uber Eats, without us, you don't exist. Just remember that.
This company really got from bad to being the worst in terms of customer centricity and service. Im borderline planning to write a boycott petition against them - predatory pricing, estimated times getting worse, and most critical or all they have absolutely the most useless, automated customer service hub and the company doesnt give 2 hoots about you as a customer. We ordered beverages as a bundled add on to our main meal, they didnt confirm the delivery address of the add on which was tied to another address, and the driver left it on the ground at another location saying theu couldnt get us on our phone number. HOW DO YOU CALL A TOURIST WHEN WE DIDNT GET A LOCAL NUMBER?! And we tried contacting customer service via all means to no avail, uber's automated system takes you on a looped ride. This is the worst company with the worst product and policies, on top of having the worst customer service.
I placed a food order on Uber Eats and the driver marked it as ‘delivered’ even though it never arrived. There was no delivery photo and no proof that it was left at my home. I called Uber support to find out what happened, and after speaking with them, the delivery details disappeared from my app. Support did not help me at all. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, they hung up on me. I filed a report online and called again, and they told me they would call me back… they never did. At this point, Uber Eats is refusing to refund my money for an order I NEVER received. Whether the driver took the food or delivered it somewhere else, I should not be paying for something I never got. This is unacceptable, extremely unprofessional, and I just want my money back
