The address provided on my appointment document was outdated. Due to this lack of updated information, I arrived at the incorrect location and waited for my turn. It was only at the last moment, just as I was entering, that I realized the address was wrong.
Getting an appointment was almost impossible. I had a technical issue and when I asked for help customer service didn’t help me. They suggest me to use another phone number. Why would I need to get a new phone number to get an appointment? I got my appointment through my boyfriend account. When I went to the appointment, staff were very helpful and kind.
My father's DS160 application form had a mistake. Pooja and Priyanka from Pune VFS office called my father after he had dropped his documents for stamping and informed about the mistake. Pooja advised to fill a new DS160 and mail with correct information. They had no obligation to help and follow up with my father but their sense of duty and responsibility avoided future troubles for us. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for their support and follow up.

My experience at VFS Global Birmingham for my Netherlands visa appointment was extremely disappointing and poorly managed.
The appointment time appeared to serve only as an entry slot to the building rather than an actual service time. Despite having a confirmed appointment, applicants were forced to stand in queues for several hours with no effective time management or prioritization.
Applicants for multiple countries — including the Netherlands, India, and Ireland — were all mixed into the same lines, with no separate counters or organized system in place. This created unnecessary confusion and overcrowding. Alarmingly, there was only one staff member responsible for checking documents for hundreds of applicants, resulting in severe delays.
Netherlands visa applicants had to wait for hours merely to receive a token, after which only two or three staff members were available to collect documents. The lack of adequate staffing was evident and unacceptable for a centre handling such a high volume of appointments.
There was no clear communication, no crowd control, and no respect for scheduled appointment times. Overall, the experience reflected poor planning and inefficient management.
Absolute nightmare. We submitted an OCI application with all the required documents. They come back to us requesting MORE documents which were not in the original list. They give only 21 days to fulfill this. We cannot possibly do this in 21 days as they requested some things that need at least one month to obtain from the state government.
We call them over their corrupt helpline which starts charging you at $2.48 per minute. The so-called helpers on the other side are either liars or incompetent or possibly both. They give us false information and misleading information that does not match up with their website. I spend more money talking to them and gain absolutely nothing. I made two calls and the two different helpers blatantly contradicted each other.
I cannot say enough bad things about this corrupt organization. I don't understand why the Government of India has chosen to contract with these people. We have no choice but to go through the entire application process again and spend $$$ with no hope of receiving an actual OCI. I will now fight to get some money refunded.
My experience with the service was highly positive. The new location they chose for the new year is an excellent decision. It provides much better access, parking options, and a more organized atmosphere than the previous site. The appointment system and time management were exceptionally well organized, and everything was executed on schedule. The staff were incredibly polite, professional, attentive, and responsive, addressing all inquiries promptly. The new facility is significantly improved in terms of ventilation, physical conditions, and comfort in the waiting area. Overall, the service was quick, accurate, and well managed. Opting for this new location was a very successful choice, and the entire process was handled in the best manner possible. I wish the team continued success in their efforts.
The digital display indicating the served token numbers was out of order, leading the staff to manually announce the token numbers for various countries. Additionally, there was no one overseeing the entry to the Biometric rooms, resulting in applicants having to manage their own turns.
The fast service significantly improved my experience. However, it would have been even better if they hadn't overlooked providing the second receipt. Honestly, rushing against time was quite challenging. As a result, I missed my chance to give my fingerprints. Fortunately, the staff managed the situation well. I'm grateful I could still submit my application.
