incredibly disorganized and are borderline scammers

I ordered the one record a month subscription around last year and it took months to receive anything and I was still getting charged for it. I decided to cancel my subscription by emailing them (which they took a lengthy time to respond to). I was told my membership was officially paused but it turns out I'm still being charged and I'm not receiving any records even though they are still charging me. Now they're not answering phone calls or messages. I would definitely think twice if you plan on starting a subscription with this company as they seem incredibly disorganized and are borderline scammers.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I gave them access to my Spotify account and wrote a very detailed description of what I wanted in my profile. I'm sure the person who chose my records didn't even read it. I told them I was not a fan of country and in my first shipment, they sent me a straight up country album from someone I've never heard of before. I've just wasted $100. Save your money and just buy the albums you want from a reputable retailer. Don't count on these clowns selecting anything you like. They are just dumping old inventory. I wish there was a 0-star rating.

Terrible company, terrible service.

I ordered a record from VNYL in December of 2020. I completely forgot about it, because the record did not ship until FEBRUARY 2022! I literally moved houses twice in between the time I ordered it and the time they shipped it, but despite them taking more than a YEAR to ship the product, they did not contact me to confirm my address or provide any updates in that time. When I finally received shipment confirmation, I immediately informed them that I had moved to a different address and state. They told me they could not reroute the order but would resend it to me once the order was returned to them. Of course, I had no way of ensuring the order would be returned to them, and after delivery, they told me they could not refund me or replace the item. What absolutely incompetent and horrendous service. DO NOT BUY FROM VNYL!

Always Read Reviews First!

I wish I would have read the reviews more before buying this as a gift for my husband. I bought the 3 month gift set for him for Christmas and he was super excited about it. It did take a couple months to get his first set or records which I chalked up to the busy holiday season and the $5 shipping for a gift was a little ridiculous but so far his albums have not been his tastes whatsoever and he has a pretty vast taste in music. Also, make sure you read the fine print of that gift membership. I assumes after we did the 3 months of choosing a record we'd just be done but NOPE they continue to charge your card every month until you call and cancel it. What kind of sense does that make when I bought a 3 month subscription?! If I wanted more than 3 months I would have purchased more!! Complet rip-off and bordering on scam territory.

This company is ridiculous

This company is ridiculous! Bought the gift subscription for my husband, who then had to input his credit card to redeem the gift (what kind of company does that?!) The records he received were AWFUL and do not match his music taste at all. Customer service is terrible, impossible to talk to someone over the phone. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Takes your money & never delivers the records

I placed 2 monthly subscription orders and never received them. I emailed to ask if they had been lost & I was issued store credit which I was happy with since the music they pick out for you is very bad. However I place my order for records I have picked out using my store credit & it has been almost 6 months and I have not received anything (my 3rd order with them in a row I haven't received). I emailed to ask for an update & they said they were having issues with logistics and I could not get a refund to my credit card, only store credit. This company feels like a massive scam in my opinion.

Horrible service, even worse customer service

Horrible service, even worse customer service. I didn't receive a record for close to 6 months. Finally I got their customer service to respond and they told me it was my fault for not logging in to tell them what I want. I requested that they cancel my account and just curate whatever vinyl I'd already paid for. I paid the extra $5 shipping (which is ridiculous in its own right) and after another month of waiting only one record showed up. I asked them about this and they told me that I only received one record because I hadn't reached out to their impossible to contact or work with customer service after paying shipping.Horrendous experience. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO VNYL.

This is such a bad service

This is such a bad service. I got a three month plan as a gift and was super excited... that quickly changed when they made me pay for shipping even though I entered in a promotional code. Why would they make you do that for a gift? Anyways, I was like, I guess it's OK because it's $5 and I might get some cool records. Well, that wasn't the case. It's like they don't even read your responses to what you like and don't like. Or look at your Spotify, which I connected! I think they just get sent records that aren't super popular and have a very small inventory to select from. First month's vinyls took like a month to get here and they all SUCKED. I mean, I like discovering new music, but these were BAD. This led me to look at other reviews which confirmed my opinions - they do not send good vinyls, and their service takes too long, billing issues by some, etc. I cancelled my membership (fortunately no issues) but not before they sent me the second month of vinyl, which you guessed it, was just as bad!!! I would rather go to a used vinyl store near me and pick out stuff I actually want. How about you guys increase your inventory and get people working for you who actually know how to select music for others? My Spotify Discover Weekly does a better job than you (a much better job).

BUYER BEWARE

Joined the club. Was charged twice with no delivery of music. Contact number always refers you to email. Emailed 3 times to cancel. No response. I contacted BBB and filed a complaint. Vnyl responded back with cancelation but still no refunds. Waiting to hear back from BBB. Will file complaint with credit card company next. BUYER BEWARE.
