I ordered shoes from Chloe & Liam believing it was an independent brand designing “premium” fashion pieces. The product imagery and branding strongly suggested original design work. However, I later found the exact same shoes on AliExpress for under £8, confirming this is a dropshipping store, not a design-led label.I cancelled my order within 24 hours and was told it was “on hold.” But the item was shipped before I had a chance to reply, and I was warned I would be charged a 15% “restocking fee” to stop dispatch — even though the item hadn’t shipped yet.No business address is listed clearly on the site, and the refund/cancellation policy appears to contradict UK consumer law.I’ve reported the store to Shopify and my bank for misleading conduct. I would not recommend this store due to the lack of transparency and unethical customer service practices.
One of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve ever had. Chloe and Liam shop sells cheap products shipped directly from China. The orders take over two weeks to deliver even though. They say it takes a few business days to reach UK customers; IT DOES NOT!! If your order even makes it to you. In my case, it didn’t. They don’t deliver to the addressee properly, parcels get lost, and they take no responsibility when things go wrong.I could already see from the tracking that delivery would take too long, so I contacted them before they even shipped my order to request a refund. I explained clearly that I was going on holiday and didn’t want the parcels to arrive while I was away, risking them being lost or stolen. They refused outright — no flexibility, no empathy, no basic customer care.In the end, the parcels never arrived at all. Despite this, customer service still refused to reimburse me and were completely unhelpful throughout. No apology, no solution, just stonewalling and denial.If you value your time, money, or sanity, avoid Chloe and Liam shop like the plague. You’ll get long waits, missing parcels, and a company that couldn’t care less about its customers.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered a pair of shoes which are too narrow for my feet. In addition they look nothing like the photos online. I have asked to return the shoes and a refund and they only send standard emails offering me another pair cheaper. I don’t want another pair, I would like my money back. This company is a scam. UPDATE - 25 July:I received the below reply three days ago and have not received the promised details for the return and refund, just another email to offer me a ‘deal’ of a 20% partial refund. I have no idea what that is about. I have stated clearly that I want a full refund and return the goods. BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!UPDATE 8 August;Still no communication from this company, despite the below promise and numerous emails. They still send me promotional emails so still operating. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!
Do not fall for the beautiful images of shoes this company portray on their website…or the fact that they say it’s easy shipping and returns to the UK for a full refund! I did and it’s taken me ages to sort it out. The shoes arrived looking NOTHING like their portrayal…they weren’t leather, the pattern wasn’t the same and they were made of a cheap composition in an awful colour and didn’t fit. I immediately contacted them via email to say they were defective and I required a full refund. I spent numerous days back and forth with emails with someone who claimed to be called ‘Anna’ but whom I’m not even sure was a real person. I say that because they didn’t seem to comprehend what I was asking for in my emails, despite reiterating the same thing over and over again. They tried to offer store credit (why would I buy again having been fooled the first time?), demanded that I return them at my expense (I found out the company wasn’t even in the UK) and constantly pretended they didn’t understand what I was asking for. In the end, thankfully, I had bought them on my credit card for protection with a new company I hadn’t dealt with before, I had to go through my bank who dealt with it, gave me my money and then, hilariously, I received an email from the company saying they’d given me the full refund. They hadn’t. Enough said. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
