This is a terrible company as far as customer service and keeping their word to the customer. We ordered an oven (or American Home shield ordered to an oven from them to replace my oven that could not be fixed). Whirlpool contracted with JB Hunt to deliver and install my new wall oven. They are delivery company not licensed installers. They installed the wall oven and it would not work. The error code said product wired incorrectly. I called whirlpool and was on phone for 2 hours. I was told by employee that they had tried to find technician in my area to come and check on the installation problem but there were not technicians in my area. I was told to find a technician of my choice to correct the installation problem and that I would be reimbursed. I also got an email stating that very same thing. It also stated what was needed on invoice and where to send invoice for reimbursement. I found a licensed electrician that came out and informed me that it was installed completely wrong and that had I not kept the breaker turned off to it, that it would have burnt my house down. I emailed my invoice in for reimbursement. After a week I was told they were not going to reimburse me for installation. I called and went back through the entire process. I told them employee name and read email back to them. I was basically told that it didn't matter what I was told or what I was emailed, they were not reimbursing me for correct installation of their product. I even ask for address to CEO in order to file a written complaint. I was told that no one could give me that information. I WILL NEVER DO BUISNESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
Bought a KitchenAid dishwasher (Whirlpool premium brand) that leaked from multiple tub seams from day one. The Whirlpool warranty representative noted that the top had been crushed, and there were significant dents in the rear and internal tub floor pan. It was covered under the 1 yr warranty HOWEVER, Whirlpool corporate service refused to replace the unit and insisted that repairs be made in the field. This is a 2-3 hours job and the dishwasher must be disassembled in our living room. A second appeal to warranty service was answered with "this is Whirlpool's final answer and no other decision will be made." The replacement tub unit part will take weeks to receive with no date provided for the repair. With the multiple dent damages, no indicated time for repair and no assurance that it will not continue to leak, we cut out loses and scrapped the dishwasher for recycle. I hope it returns as a competitive product that actually works Warranty service matters, but not to Whirlpool.
I wish there was an option for "no stars" but I will give it one star as required in order to warn other consumers prior to purchase. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool as a brand. The customer experience that is offered is below the bar of even basic expectations. My dishwasher was installed in my new kitchen, out of a brand new. Within 5 weeks the dishwasher was broken & not working at all. Whirlpool sent out a 1 star, F rated (BBB) repair company. After 3 visits from a technician who could not fix the machine he lied & said "it is an install issue". After verifying it was, in fact, NOT an install issue Whirlpool sent out a new repair company to review the issues. It turns out we have a blown motor. The tech said the old company cleared out all error codes so he cannot prove what the other tech was even talking about when he told us it was an install issue. The repair company said that we were responsible for all costs associated with disconnecting the power and water from the machine as well re-installing the dishwasher after repair. We have tried to communicate with Whirlpool on multiple occasions. Each call takes nearly an hour because of all of the prompts, waiting times, asking the same questions we have answered multiple times and while the customer reps are very nice, they are powerless to actually do anything other than put in a simple service ticket. So we are out $200 for a repair on a NEW dishwasher & all I get from Whirlpool is that the case is "under review" for over 2 weeks with NO communication about the process.
If I have to buy another washer, it will be a refurbished one without all the bells and whistles, or a general electric. At least they’re there for other customers they don’t send them around in circles this piece of crap I bought is one year old and nothing works. I guess I need to get hold of the federal trade commission to get any thing done
Bought a Whirlpool trash compactor. Needed a black compactor to go with our black stainless steel appliances. Whirlpool was the only model stores in our area carried. It was about $900.00. It works, but the design is terrible. These are all designed to mount under counter. Poor lighting. The control panel on this compactor is black, and not lighted. EXTREMELY POOR DESIGN.

The past 4 years I chose your brand. I have heard everything was good with Whirlpool appliances. Now you guys are left with a disappointed customer. I've owned your Microwave, Dishwasher, and Oven. Which all died one year after another. I have owned your Microwave for 3 years and 2 mos. Which started humming and stopped heating. I owned the dishwasher for 4 yrs which turned out to have a leak causing my whole island to rot. Now today after 4 years our Electric Range Oven (WFE525S0HZ) stopped baking So now I have nothing positive to say about your brand just so you know you lost a customer.
Terrible machine and terrible customer service. Got a dishwasher about a year ago, broke within a month, Best Buy replaced, 2nd machine broke within a month , tried to call 3x Got through 3rd time after waiting 45 minutes for an appointment 2 weeks later that they tell me to have 129.00 ready in case it is not covered under the manufacturer warranty… Never Again
I purchased a whirlpool washing machine model number wtw5057lw from Lowe’s on 8-29-22 and within a week it started to make a grinding noise I took it back to Lowe’s and they reluctantly agreed to replace it. After about 3 months it began to make another grinding sound like the transmission or clutch was going out I called customer service and they did send out a repairman and he replaced the clutch and belt it has beer about two weeks since that and it is making another grinding noise again. I believe that it should be replaced at no charge with a different model of my choice or refund my entire purchase price either way I will never purchase another whirlpool product again and I’ll tell everyone that I know about my experience
