New washing machine was defective out of the box. It was professionally delivered and installed. Contacted Whirlpool the same day as delivery. Three weeks, four different phone reps and two service calls later I still have a broken brand new washer. Two reps encouraged me to pawn it off on Menards even though I was out of the return window because I naively listened to the first rep. After waiting a half hour on hold, one rep told me she was going to put me on hold to talk to someone, and transferred me out of their phone system. I had to wait another half hour for a different rep. Shoddy product and don't feel the need to make it right with their customers
I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher in October 2017 Model WDTA50SAHZ. Required service in the first six months, mother board issue. Then required service in 2021 because it was leaking. Then discover the top rack was damaged. The rolling mechanism that allows the rack to be pulled out so it can be emptied had one of the wheels broken (cheap plastic of course). So, I called the company's customer service department, and they directed me to the parts department which was a nightmare. Trying to speak with someone directly is like navigating a labyrinth. Ordered the parts and it took more than two months because the parts were on back order. Went to change the parts and they are now made of stainless steel and not cheap plastic, shocker! Great! However, the parts do not fit properly. It appears Whirlpool is using a generic footprint for their dishwashers, and I guess hoping the parts will fit all their models and hopefully work good enough. Bottom line, I will never purchase another whirlpool product again and I will never recommend anyone else do so either. The product quality is not what I expected. What a nightmare. I will now have to purchase a new dishwasher. Lesson well learned.Todd Clark
Bought the top Whirlpool Washer in 2020. Year later pump goes out. I replaced for $500 through repair. 6months later main board goes out. It’s been 6 months and going through repair via whirlpool.com. Was just informed part will never be made available! Two year old and whirlpool is walking away from making parts for it. My attorneys are taking care of this for me because of right to repair laws. Get anything but a Whirlpool. They don’t stand behind products they sold you.
Avoid!!! service maybe ok, don't know. Contacted service, set up appointment, they forgot to send code saying it was to be done under warranty, sent the service techs away. Now told by whirlpool that because my washer is off warranty by a week, no longer covered (it was when i called), I give up, no more whirlpoos for me.
So far I am happy with the appliances however in Sept 2022 we initially received a damaged in shipment dishwasher that flooded kitchen floor. Floor has been replaced for $3100 with claims made to Whirlpool with assist from retailer and we have still not received reimbursement after 7 months. Communication has been extremely poor on their end. I now own a $4000 dishwasher!!
Pretty much the same as most of you other folks. Have a 3 year old Whirlpool microwave and the glass spontaneously SHATTERED. Wasn’t on, wasn’t being used just shattered for no reason out of the blue. Called their customer service department to advise what happened. The set up an appliance repair company to come out to my house 3 weeks later to take a look. The company came out, took pictures and sent them back to Whirlpool the same day. A month or so went by and still no word from Whirlpool so I called back. Their customer service said she would send an internal message to the department that was handling it. I asked if I could speak with them directly and was told I could not. Here we are 5 months after I originally called and I have still not heard back. Finally had some time today on a day off of work (seeing it normally takes over an hour to get someone on the phone) and now their telephone prompts won’t even let me speak with anyone on the phone and makes you leave a call back number. First available call back date is a week from now. A WEEK! Mind blowing. Needless to say I will never buy anything from this company again. (I don’t really think they care too much, though….)
Bought whirlpool dryer Oct 2020. In August of 2022 this appliance went dark for no apparent reason. Model number wgd5100hwd. Please do not buy ANY whirlpool appliance!!!!We had a local repairman come to check this dryer. He said the touch sensor was bad and the control board was bad as well.His call cost us $90. I called whirlpool customer "wedontfreakin" care.I got spun around and outright lied to for three days. Best offer I could get was %40 off a new whirlpool dryer at full price through their website.Give me a break!! I will never purchase a whirlpool appliance again!They are disrespectful liars and their product line is garbage.Now im just sitting here waiting for my 2 year old whirlpool stove, refrigerator and washing machine to crap out and stop working.Thanks for nothing whirlpool. I hope your crappy company goes belly up SOON! You have lost one customer and hopefully more if they are intelligent enough to read this review.
I bought a WP top freezer stainless steel fridge from a local appliance dealer. Within a few months the stainless steel rusted in countless spots. My dealer kindly replaced the door with a new stainless steel door and of course, it rusted too! When I called WP (after countless attempts and being on hold for long periods), they told me it was due to humidity. I have never had this happen ever. I told WP I will never buy another WP product. Cheap, horrendous materials and even worse customer service. BTW, the product was still under 1-year warranty.
Off the chart bad, no one home! Multiple phone calls never a response! Put phone on speaker walked away after half hour, four hours ten minutes later still no one answers! Guess they’re waiting for my warranty to run out before they answer! I call on the entire planet to stop buying Whirlpool products, service and products absolutely sucks!Hey Whirlpool for for my personal customer satisfaction I’m going to record the results of trying to contact you for support with your product then I’m going to blow up your product and post online for the world to see. No thanks is needed for the free advertising, it’s the least I can do for such stellar service and products!
