Bought a new whirlpool fridge from Lowes not even three months and the compressor went out. Whirlpool doesn't have the part to fix it. Backordered!!! Selling products without parts to repair it, is poor business. I have been without a fridge for almost 2 months now waiting to get this part and my NEW $1,700 fridge fixed. They do not care I'm going without. POOR Customer care!!! HORRIBLE
If I could give this review 0 stars I would. We received a new fridge today and it came with two damaged drawers. Also the other shelves provided are very cheap and easily fall out of the fridge. Not a good product at all for the price. Also I was on hold for over 2 and a half hours trying to get new drawers ordered. We will see if we actually get new ones or not. Just horrible, horrible experience with Whirlpool.
I am right on board with what others are saying. I just hope people will read these reviews before buying any Whirlpool appliance. We will definitely read reviews before buying appliances in the future! We have the same situation - after just over a year, the refrigerator started breaking down; it happens every few month, then tech fixes it, it breaks down again, and on and on and on. And the company couldn't care less! When you call you just get the usual apologies, but their policies are rigid, so there is no recourse in this situation. You either put up with constant breakdowns, or buy a new refrigerator FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY, wasting the hundreds of dollars you put in Whirlpool's pockets.
I purchased ab extended warranty when my current extended warranty was about to run out. A couple of days later my local appliance store replaced my washing machine because they were not able to get the part needed to repair the existing machine. A customer service rep at Whirlpool told me there would be no problem transferring the warranty to the new machine, that I would just need to provide the new Model and serial numbers. I did this. Now I received an email regarding a recent quote. I never requested a quote. Never got a quote. Now I can't even find out if the transfer went through to the new machine. On top of that, the new machine is malfunctioning. Plus, I can't even get ahold of Whirlpool by phone, and to do a chat, they want $5.00 to connect me to a live person. It's been very frustrating trying to deal with Whirlpool. I do not recommend Whirlpool.
Don’t buy a Whirlpool appliance! Sept. 2021, I bought an electric cook stove with an extended warranty. On July 4th while running the self cleaning cycle it popped and threw sparks. I filed a claim with Whirlpool right after it happened. I was finally told today that they can’t find anyone to come service it in my area. I called Lowes store manger and she told me they couldn’t help me. That they don’t service anything either.! So I guess the extended warranty I bought was no good either since they can’t find anyone to service it. STAY AWAY FROM APPLIANCES AT LOWES, AND WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES, it has been a nightmare
I bought a new whirlpool Refrigerator from Best Buy, it lasted 9 months. I called whirlpool and they sent a repairman out to diagnose the problem. That was June 15th of this year. One week ago I spent 2 hours on the phone, after 2 hours I finally got a supervisor and was told she would designate someone to look for the part and i would be contacted in 3 business days. After 4 business days no one contacted me. Once again I call customer service and was told they sent me an e-mail, well they sent the e-mail to the wrong address. Finally 2 days later I got the e-mail says i would get the parts within the week, well we will see. Also the supervisor said for all my trouble she would send me a $75 Visa gift card, guess what I am still waiting for the gift card. I will never buy another whirlpool appliance again. I doubt is this thing will last another year after they fix it.
Whirlpool appliances installed in my new home May 13, 2022. Refrigerator stopped cooling around June 15. Called Whirlpool and scheduled service. Service tech ordered part. Part is still on backorder. Specifics at Whirlpool no help at all. Whirlpool refuses to replace. I am throwing away food daily because fridge is freezing up one side but not keeping food frozen; and not cooling on the right side. Maggots found in food. Ridiculous service. Never again.
Special ordered a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator in June 26, 2022. It was delivered on Saturday, July 9, 2022. A week and half later it stopped cooling. Had the certified repair person out the last week of July and he had to order 3 parts. The technician received 2 parts and realized the 1 part was the wrong one, and sent it back, so only has 1 part of the 3 he ordered. He still hasn't received the other 2 parts. We called Whirlpool, and the customer service rep, who won't give her name and was very, very RUDE, said she couldn't help us. We call the technician's office, and the office gal called Whirlpool and got the same run-around. The repair office called their district representative from Whirlpool, and she said that she would look into it personally and what we are told is that the parts are in some shipping container somewhere. They claim they don't have any tracking numbers to see exactly where the parts are. In the mean time, we are buying 2 bags of ice every 7-10 days, unplugging the refrigerator for 24 hours and then plugging it back in and letting it cool down for 8-12 hours before we can put our food back in the freezer and refrigerator. With the price of food now a days and the amount of food this refrigerator has spoiled, Whirlpool should refund my money. I would have thought Whirlpool would have straightened up in 22 years, since I went round and round with them about a washer and dryer and finally brought a Maytag and had that for years. I wouldn't recommend Whirlpool appliances to anyone. I will never buy a Whirlpool appliance again.
