I bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher a few weeks before Black Friday, because it was urgent for me to cover the needs of my baby. It was installed by authorised technicians of the merchant and they just made sure it wasn't leaking. I did the first wash in the evening and used a few items to feed the one year old. After that I emptied the rest of the dishwasher with a bit wet hands and noticed soap residue on all the dishes.I contacted the merchant the next day, and several days after that and they sent a Whirlpool technician last week, who stayed for five minutes, took photos of the dishes that had soap, saw that I had used 4 different detergents (3 tablets and 1 liquid) and left. After almost a month since the purchase, Whirlpool has still not authorised the replacement of the device and they have been very rude on the phone. Moreover, they tried to send someone to fix the dishwasher and I didn't let them, because when a machine isn't working since day 1, it is defective and needs replacement. My baby consumed soap and nobody seems to care. Shame on them.I already informed the authorities and am planning to get legal advice.(Review about Whirlpool Greece)
Purchased a Stainless Steel Kitchen Aid refrigerator for a new kitchen in my house installed in May of 2020 and the refrigerator 15 months later is completely rusted and totally unsightly. Both my dealer and myself have called Kitchen Aid and were told that because the damage was “cosmetic” the warranty expired 30 days after purchase and they are under no obligation to do anything! The Stainless Steel used in the refrigerator is 100 defective and they refuse to stand behind their products!! I will never purchase anything from them again!! It is completely outrageous and a total disgrace that they are unwilling to do anything!! BUYERS BEWARE
Dishwasher lasted 13 months before coating on tines wore out, meaning there are rusty daggers sticking up to stab your fingers. Their customer service says to call Lowe's, Lowe's says to call Whirlpool. They make many of the dishwasher brands in the U.S., so it's hard not to buy them, but try to avoid. Really a terrible, terrible blotch on American business practices.
We spent almost $3K on the refrig 6yrs ago. Bought the 5yr Xnd warranty too. Now $650+++ labor and parts later (evap fan, water pan, and other items all need replacing) However, my 27yr old Kenmore refrig that we keep in our garage is still working fine..No problems! NOT a happy customer... no more Whirlpool products for our family.
The guy who reviewed this company and claimed he had the worst customer service ever is wrong.....because it was I, not him, who had the worst ever: Wanting to purchase a Whirlpool gas range, I'd not been able to find in the product description how the range dealt with the case of a gas flame accidentally blowing out. It's a safety feature as either the gas MUST turn off, or the flame MUST relight---or the kitchen fills up with gas until the explosion. I asked customer service how their ranges address this matter that's NOT in the owner's manual either. Not only could they not find the answer, but they could not even comprehend the question, and said that if the flame went out I "could call the gas company". I didn't even attempt to explain that their competition uses magnetos or thermocouples to address the matter. Magnanimous morons utterly unprepared to provide customer service for the simplest of issues.
