Review Time
I did order today 31.05.2024 the winsim. Got information in email but ask me for download a App the App looked so fake and have no information the same as the logging center, I decided to check the reviews and only see bad ones. I can not trust in a winSim and Cancel. However, Tray true telephone however the phone number asks for information to be typed but before you can type it already says all people are busy and hangs on you automatically. tray 7 times.
This company should not be trading. I took a contract with them to provide me European roaming, they failed to fulfill their part of the contract. After many months of phone calls and emails to them - they brushed them off, their customer service is absolutely shocking, they are just licensed bandits..Save yourself the stress & your hard earned money and choose an alternative provider. I am now in the process of attempting to recover all the money to compensate their total incompetence. I will write another review if I do not receive my just compensation.
Out of cash I was ignoring the many warnings that everybody already made about this provider. I signed up for a cheap option ahead of my arrival to Germany, so that the care would be activated as I come. But the card never arrived. So I contacted support and asked for another. They said I would have to be patient because shipping could take up to 7 days (although at that point I was waiting for more than that already. All other mail arrived flawlessly). At that point they had already billed me the sim card activation fee. Then the second card didn’t arrive either. So I contacted them again. Since then I have just been ignored. I cancelled my contract, but still got a message that they wondered why I had blocked them from accessing my bank account for the monthly bills and refunded the original bill. Of course when it’s about money they spring into action, you would think, right? The only option they give to resolve this issue is to call them. How ironic. So I had to wait for the arrival and activation of a card bought by the competition to even refute their claims. And when I did finally call, at 4pm, they said “due to maintenance we can’t access customer data, so we’ll only answer general inquiries, please call back in the afternoon”. None of which makes sense, of course, unless it’s a literal scam. I’ve dealt with german internet providers many times and this is the only one that doesn’t just suck but actually scam you. I’m now collecting all the correspondence as I await a fricking legal letter or something. Horrendous.
I have used winSIM for 5 years. It works but I was never totally happy with it.Their app is very old school and hard to navigate, tariff options are confusing. Connectivity is okay within the city but has issues while travelling with train etc.I was sticking with it because it was cheap but realised there are much more modern providers out there with similar pricing.On the positive side, in the past I had to order new SIM card because I lost mine and that process worked without any issues. I also had no issue cancelling my subscription but some friends had issues reaching out to customer service.Now that I switched to a provider with very clean and easy to understand app and better network coverage, I would never go back to winSIM.
