Place and order on the 29th of April for bedroom furniture over 1000€ paid the 55€ delivery been 4 weeks still have no revived all my order the customer service is shocking on all sides one part was damaged (that can happen) but taking over 2 weeks to resolve it is a joke then I was missing part of the wardrobe for a week. Will not be shopping here again best of going to ikea in future judging by the other reviews. Customer service seems to be a problem so disappointed
Purchased paint and items I woodies yesterday, takeing advantage of the seniors discount day ,spent apx 100e.we were unsure about the shade of a larger paint purchase,so we also bought a tester for the same colour,at the till we asked if the tester was to dark could we swap the paint the following day for a lighter shade,same product just lighter shade ,same price point,e were told no problem.We found the shade to dark as suspected,so I returned early the following morning to replace the paint for a lighter shade,I explained to the very helpful lady at the payment desk,I was told no problem,I went into the shop to pick up the REPLACEMENT paint and one extra small item,when I returned to the payment fest the helpful lady had issues doing the swap on the receipt I had given her,the replacement paint was coming up as full price ,not the senior day discount price,I was relaxed and had no issues waiting ,and happy to chat about the rain,this lady asked another member of staff to assist,the other staff member ,I stood and smiled,I was then told WEll IAm DOING You A FAVOUR,this was said with a dreadful tone of contemt,I did not ask for any favour I just wanted to replace like for like ,as I was told the previous day I could.I felt very embarrassed with other customers standing close.I normally shop in homebase but unfortunately there now closed ,and always found the staff courteous and friendly.I have to plans to return to woodies Waterford.I have worked in retail for many years,and would never speak in a similar way to a customer.I look forward to the pending opening of the Waterford BQ store.
I bought a Kitchen from Woodies, had to pay up front and was promised that any issues would be tended to promptly. The kitchen was delivered the day before fitting but one part of it was not delivered or fitted. Over two weeks later I am struggling to elicit a response from them let alone any action to supply and fit or finish the installation. I am spending my time chasing them and getting nowhere. They are a disaster !! I am sorry I dealt with them at all.
Disgraceful after sales service. My wife bought a De Walt drill for me for an urgent job at home and the drill bit got jammed with the first use. She returned it looking for a replacement and Woodies told her to take it over to a workshop to get it fixed! Absolutely unbelievable. She left it with them but I will be calling Consumer Rights and dropping in myself to get a replacement or refund. One star is being generous. Update: 17/4/25I arrived into Woodies today and although there was another mix-up with the repaired drill, the lady at the customer service said this level of service was unacceptable and offered me a replacement drill. The other staff members I encountered were also very helpful. Redeemed in my eyes and I have updated the rating.
I recently bought a kitchen from Woodie’s in Castlebar and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Being able to view the kitchen units in-store was really helpful, and booking an appointment with Abaigeal made the process even better—she was fantastic to deal with. Everything was smooth and efficient, and I received a professional kitchen design very quickly. The new kitchen has made cleaning, storing, and cooking so much easier. I would highly recommend Woodie’s to anyone considering a new kitchen.
