Bought a pendant light called Breez easy fit pendant on the box light 45 euro thought it would be easy turns out three steps to fitting the light step one 121 pieces to be attached step two is the shade they have to be attached to and step three is the bulb which I could not find in Woodies and no staff on the floor to even ask
I bought a tin of ronseal stain varnish in woddie yesterday. When I got home I noticed that it was for outdoor windows and doors. I was looking for interior wood stain. This morning I brought it back to the store to exchange it for Interior wood stain. I got assistance from one of the staff to find the interior wood stain only to find that hadn't got it. So I went up to the checkout to get a refund I was meet by a young lad with a silly smirk on his face, he informed me that he could refund my money to my visa debit card. I told that I forgotten my wallet and I did not have my card on me. I asked if he could give me cash he said no, so he called this so called manager a boy called Jack. He was no help at all he had a very bad attitude. I was not pleased with the customer service. I have been a loyal customer of Woddie for over 40 years, I will never shop in woddie again.

Ordered two loungers (patio) online.I was there at 9.15 am to collect them They were the only store "Carrickmines" had them in stock. I gave the person at the information desk the collection number. After about 20 minutes a colleague came out to say, "sorry there was an error on the system, we have none left" Surely a big store like Woodies would have a system to prevent errors like this. The person on the desk was way more intetested in chatting to colleagues than dealing with customers, that's so annoying.
Wexford store a joke.I paid in full for two large items. Because of not enough room in my van, 1 item was labelled and kept by the store for me to collect 2 days later. When I returned to collect the item it could not be found... only to be told it was resold by the store that day. The guy Niall on customer service could not care less about what happened. I drove 90km round trip.
What is wrong with your staff in Glasnevin? I went to buy a lawn mower and first could not find any staff member willing to help. One lady leaned against a cash machine in the middle of the store and gave monosyllabic answers to two questions asked by my wife. She looked like someone had just told her her mother had died! At the exit help desk, an older lady shouted something unintelligible at me and at that point I walked out. On the other hand, I went to Coolock where I was met immediately by Shaun who took me competently and pleasantly through the advantages etc of the various lawn mowers on display, walked me to the cash desk, quickly got the mower onto a trolley and out into the car park etc - all in all, a most pleasant and enthusiastic staff member and very impressive. I suggest you make an anonymous raid on Woodies, Glasnevin, and see what’s wrong with the staff there. As for Coolock, give them all a bonus for outstanding customer service.
We ordered a new kitchen from Woodies, Wexford and we were engaged by a design expert who drew a digital map of our new kitchen to illustrate how it would look when installed. This gave us confidence to go ahead. The Appliances arrived on the day stated. The kitchen units were delivered on the day stated and the kitchen fitter arrived fully prepared for the installation that took two days. He was professional, knowledgeable and very experienced. The kitchen was fitted without any issues. We could not be happier with the kitchen and our overall experience. The designer in Woodies Wexford (Abby) and the Fitter (Sean) were brilliant.
Beware buying paint in Woodie's. Spoke with Justin a manager in Coolock branch yesterday who was very unprofessional. He said Woodies won't take back and issue a refund for Woodie's own brand paint on the basis the customer returns it as substandard. Which is a breach of consumer rights to not issue a refund for substandard goods. He also said they can't stand over Woodie's own brand paint and recommended me against buying it again. Why do they stock own brand paint they won't stand over? I'm v wary of Woodies going forward, I've always had good experiences in Screwfix that's where I'll be buying in going forward.
