I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the behavior of one of your drivers on June 9, 2024, between 16:00 and 16:30. The vehicle in question has the license plate BV73PAO.During this time, I was attempting to park when the driver aggressively maneuvered his truck, driving in the opposite direction of the road to forcefully take the parking space I was indicating to use. Subsequently, the driver proceeded to walk around my car, taking photographs in my absence.When I approached him to ask for an explanation, he responded with insults rather than addressing the situation. He also pointed to a camera without sound as supposed evidence against me, despite the fact that my hands were clearly behind my back in the footage.My wife frequently works with your company, and she has assured me that she will look into this matter internally. However, I felt it necessary to report this incident directly to ensure it is properly addressed. It is unacceptable for your drivers to engage in such bullying behavior over parking spaces, particularly when breaking traffic laws by driving in the opposite direction to do so.Had the driver simply requested the space, I would have gladly accommodated him. His actions suggest a lack of proper training in both ethical conduct and professional courtesy. I urge you to review your hiring and training processes to prevent such incidents in the future.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and the necessary actions to address this behavior.
If I could award minus stars I would give them 5. Please just do not use them they are absolutely appalling, seriously the most worst delivery firm I have ever had to deal with. Also they are getting Homebase (who they deliver for) a bad name. I ordered some expensive garden furniture from Homebase and was informed by text from XPO that it would be delivered on a certain date at 12 noon. Needless to say that it did not arrive at 12 noon. At 3pm I contacted Homebase and informed them that it had not arrived. They rang me back to say that XPO had it out for delivery to me and that it would be delivered before 7pm that same day. At 4pm received a text from XPO saying sorry they had missed us and that it would not be delivered that day and to contact Homebase for another date. We were in all the time and no one called at our house. Doorbell footage proves that. Arrangements were made with Homebase for it to be delivered on another day and the same thing happened. I emailed the CEO of XPO Logistics twice and they have not had the decency nor manners to reply or offer any apologies. Eventually the goods did arrive, but because of missing parts had to send some back. Homebase arranged with XPO to send me more which again did not arrive on the arranged delivery day and were wrong. Making further arrangements with XPO to call and collect them was an absolute nightmare, did not call and collect them on the days promised. Would put me off from any store that uses this company to deliver their goods.
Appalling - you deliver for Homebase - I have told them to get another company. Delivery last Friday - a text saying by 12am... well I guessed this meant noon or 12pm. Nothing by 3pm - phoned several times - same message - no one to take your call. IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF SERVICE? It isn't mine. Phoned Homebase who helped - told me it would be with me by 7pm (not greatly helpful)... then a text from you saying delivery by 6.30pm.. WELL WHAT TIMEZONE ARE YOU PEOPLE ON??? DO YOU HAVE ANY MANAGER? Waited in all day and yes 7.30pm (19.30 since you seem to mix up am's and pm's) a van from VOYAGER LOGISTICS arrived with 2 nice guys no doubt on minimum wage. I FELT SORRY FOR THEM HAVING TO DEAL WITH YOU LOT.... SO YOU SUB CONTRACTED... anyone out there reading this with a choice of carriers - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNEDPS Forwarded to Homebase.
Ordered multiple items from homebase and 5 out of 6 items were delivered no problem.The item getting delivered from XPO was a nightmare.Tried for literally 3 hours over 6 phone calls to arrange delivery but no answer in a automated queue they do not even tell you what number position your in. I contacted customers service at homebase and they arranged delivery for me only for XPO to cancel that delivery and give me one a week later. Still dont know if I will receive it. Homebase should be ashamed of using this company.
I ordered a garden furniture set from Homebase. On the day of the initial delivery, a delivery driver came with 3 chairs missing. He only brought a table, a parasol, and one chair. He told me the remaining chairs didn’t fit in his truck… and that he would bring them the next morning. I accepted part of the order (in hindsight, shouldn’t have done that), and in the system immediately everything was ticked as delivered. Also, no one showed up the following day and I had to contact Homebase. Then I had to wait 3 working days for xpo to reply. They rescheduled the delivery for the missing chairs (another two weeks of waiting!), but when the day came, again no one showed up. I had to contact Homebase again, and this time xpo told them that the chairs had never arrived in their warehouse/depot in the first place! So which version was true? So Homebase sent 3 new chairs (another week of waiting), and this time frankly everything was as it should be (including the expected delivery time, which the first time kept changing throughout the whole day and forced me to be stuck at home for hours, waiting). The whole experience was extremely frustrating and will keep me away from ordering from Homebase in the future and from using xpo services.
As previous review, would give this no stars if I could. Worse delivery company ever. Unable to phone them on the number they provide. Goes to a answerphone but box is full so can’t leave a message. Delivery from 7am. It’s now 4.30 pm. No update on delivery time. Text message with tracking info doesn’t work. Complete waste of a day. This is second delivery from XPO and same thing happened with the first delivery. Homebase need to ditch this company as it’s a reflection on them!
Ordered a Fridge from Nisbets. On the delivery day. XPO only sent out only 1 driver to complete the job. The driver seemed inexperienced because he could not unload the fridge from the lorry by himself. My dad was kind enough to help him unload the fridge. Shortly arriving to the shop, my dad kindly asked him to help move the fridge 5 meters into the premises. The driver refused and said it’s the company policy that they are not allowed to do that… frustrated to hear that from the driver after my dad kindly helped him do his job. He refused the delivery and told the driver to take it back. The whole ordeal was just extremely disappointing and looking at other reviews that people have made. I am not surprised after all.
