This company use to be a lot better! I traveled in the 5th July from Lisbon to Paris, the first driver he was nice and count the passagers when we had breaks for use the toilet before leaving. The second driver that took over stopped in the middle of the autoway putting everyone in danger to look for something late at night and when stop for toilet breaks never count the passagers.
Terrible services, poor signage/guidances. I booked a return trip Faro to Sevilla (Nov 2024), there were no signage showing bus stop/lane in both Faro and Sevilla. I managed to find the stop at Faro, but at Sevilla, there was a departure board but turn out it did not show my ALSA bus departure lane so I missed the bus. The ALSA ticket desk charged me an extra 12 euro for next bus, and blaming me not ask them for bus lane (come on, when you have a departure board showing the departure information, who will go to ticket desk to check for departure when you have a long queue buying tickets?!)
I read all these bad reviews and was scared to book it to be honest. But you have to keep in mind that mostly only people with bad experience who are mad are motivated to take the time to write a review. That’s why I am writing this on the return trip. I did a day round trip from Barcelona to Andorra, Bus clean, punctual, with toilet, nice driver, everything worked perfectly. Best price by far. So nothing negative here, thanks! I had 20 min to take another connection for another Alsa bus (from Santander to Bilbao). The first bus was 20 min late. I asked if the driver could inform his colleague so I don’t miss the connection. The driver said no in a very rude way. I had to wait 2h at the next stop. When the next bus arrived, the driver (another very very very rude one) refused to board me because I didn’t buy a ticket before (I thought I could buy it on board like I did in the first bus). His colleague yelled at me, saying that the bus was full and they just left. I had to wait about 3h in total and I still have a 5h journey. Worst costumer service ever - to avoid at all cost (if you can!).
