Long term medication for my elderly dog

My little dog has allergies and is on medication, rang to re-order her prescription and was told I need to re-order nearer the time they run outRang again and prescription ordered, received an email 2 days later to say prescription refused as she needed a review, when I rang up receptionist was so rude, said she could book my dog in 23 days later, I explained that my dog would be without her medication by then for 3 weeks - she wasn’t helpful at all and flat out refused to give her medication till her review!!I said are you happy that my elderly dog will be suffering for 3 weeks and she said there was nothing she could do!!This medication states should NOT be stopped but weaned off if she was to no longer need them - this didn’t seem to bother the vets at all I’m so upset by their attitude towards me and especially my little dog who has been on this medication for 18months It’s heartbreaking to see her suffering now Won’t be stepping foot back in that place again

Impossible to get appointments

Just tried to make an appointment for my dog, he has a ear infection and i've tried all the (over counter) drops and powders, was on hold for over an hour to be told that they are only taking emergency appointments now, which is fine, so I either need to call back Tuesday at 8.30 or they can book an appointment for Friday! So I'll call back Tuesday, if he hasn't caused serious damage to his ear by then, and see how long I'm on hold for. Fingers crossed he doesn't become an emergency!

Animal Trust Shrewsbury

We have recently joined the Animal Trust Vets in Shrewsbury. I have 2 dogs that were insured but due to claims the premiums are now ridiculous! To come across the Animal Trust has been a life saver! My first dog has had a mass removed from her lip, with no complications at all, her care was exceptional , we then had my 2nd dogs cruciate surgery done with Ed on Thursday again no complications , everything was explained thoroughly and the surgery has gone well.I joined the petplan so you get discounts on services, costs of prescriptions etc. We would absolutely recommend the Shrewsbury practice

Animal trust veterinary…

I visited the Animal trust veterinary with my sick cat, Kit-Kat. The non emergency appointment was arranged quickly and although it was difficult to find (Dewsbury, West Yorkshire). The team were lovely, efficient, understanding and easy to talk to.

This vets once again sending me an invoice stating that I have unpaid vet bills. This is the second time this has happened and is very upsetting to asked to provide evidence for payment. We pay our bill right after payment every time our dog has treatment. It is a disgrace!!!

Animal Trust Bolton , stay away !

Animal Trust Bolton . Horrified !! Waited 1 1/2 hours for my emergency appointment and told I had not responded when called . Not true ! Seen by vet Julia Popescu who was frankly passive aggressive , rude and arrogant . She would not allow me to give any history , said “ put IT there and pointed to the scales . She was very stern and cold despite the end result being euthanasia . Im devastated at losing my little friend , and traumatised by the way we were treated . I will never use this company again and have since found another vet who has humility and patience . I strongly advise Animal Trust to provide their staff with training in basic communication skills and empathy !!

Just had a phone call demanding 380 pound for not cancelling a health plan in the 14vdays cooling off period but I've had 3 accounts. I've been in a d they know I xhoose to pay in full for my treatment but they are choosing to tell me now!! To top it off I have only just got home as I got sectioned for a suicide attempt and the manager said they need it in full or else they will send enforcement agents to my house. I asked to set up a payment plan but he refused and demanded it in full! I only get 350 a month!! It's physically impossible!! It's all too much what a scam!! I give up I really do what a bunch of theives! My cats never even been in the building

Money comes first..

Took my dog into the Bolton branch at 7.40 pm as he was suffering from pancratitus which has a 70% survival rate with his condition. The vet was more interested in being able to go home at 8pm And telling me how much its going to cost me. £659.00 for a 2 nights stay. Well if this place is a no profit vet's I'll tell you now they are not. I can have a 7 nights all inclusive cruise for that. I left my boy with him to have what they call a flush. The vet said that I would get an update every 12 hours so I should have been updated at 8 am the next morning. With no updates I finally rang them at 11.20 am and was informed that he had passed away with breathing difficulties and a hart attack. When I asked the vet what time did he pass Away she said about 10.30 am I think only I've not long been in. . Now if I had have got the call earlier I could have been with him. With that vet more worried about getting gone for 8pm. Did he connect him to his flush before he left ??. I don't think so for him to go down hill so fast. My poor little man must have been struggling to breath which gave him a hart attack. These vets are mostly young inexperienced collage graduates. Not only that they don't keep actual times of medications given. Ime sure if I'd have taken him to a more experienced vets he would be with me now.. R. I. P. STEIF.. SO SORRY.
