I have been a Brokerlink customer for at least 15 years, but they have increased the quote yearly; my car is 13 years old. I called when I received the renewal papers because it was too much. They told me they can give me the senior discount ( I am 72 years old) why didn't they give me this discount before? It was still too much, this person told me to call next week for him to try to find another company to give me a cheaper price. I called back on April 8 around 3-3:15 pm, this lady answered me and she said Not a problem, I can help you. She started asking all these questions, put me on hold, and asked more questions. She put this record where I have to agree ( say yes). She even asked me if she could check my credit rating because if I have a good record, she can give me a cheaper quote.. I trusted her . I said yes. After 1 hour of talking to her, well, I was put on hold most of the time. She said she couldn't give me a quote because she needed to call the insurance first, the insurance name was supposed to be Penbridge. I asked for her name, but she mumbled; she has an indian accent. She never called me back. I am so upset how these unprofessional people are working in this place, she has no respect at all !! After she failed to call me back, I had weird vibes. I trusted her with all my information, but now it gives me the creeps. I am reporting this because this shouldn't happen to anybody, especially if they are seniors. Have some respect, I hope you can find this employee and give her what she deserves!!
I have been on hold the ENTIRE day trying to get a hold of someone to cancel my insurance. I was in touch with someone on Monday March 31 to cancel my insurance and find that monies have been taken from my account on Tuesday. This is unacceptable!!!
I was trying to find out information on insuring an ATV. The ATV is powered by 2 1000w motors and goes pretty fast. Stephan, the broker I spoke with, was short of blaming me for purchasing a vehicle that was not listed with them. Her/his frustration and confusion took an accusing tone which almost forced me to find a new brokerage firm. Times are changing and I was hoping they were on board, apparently not. If anybody can direct me to an E-vehicle friendly insurance company, that'd be great.
These last 5 days I have been trying to get insurance for a new vehicle. The problem is their phone system. It is horrible. None of the agents have voice mail and when I called the first agent with whom I dealt he was in Toronto and, after putting me on hold for 10 minutes, was able to give me an estimate and direction of documents to send his way, When I called him the next day, to see if he had received the documents, and dialed his extension, I got a message re: "system problems". On my second call, on the fourth day, I got a very nice person from their Midland ON office. She was able to help me and was great. She also told me that the agents do not have voice mail!! When I tried to call her back that afternoon and dialed her extension, I got the "system problems" message (I assume she was busy with other clients)! SO, now I cannot reach this agent. When I called the third time today and the message said press 5 to speak with a broker, I still got nothing. Pressing that number was useless and I was waiting for 24 minutes before I hung up in disgust! Horrible phone system. The whole experience of trying to reach anyone at this company for this issue is an exercise in frustration!
If I could give -1 stars, I would. We've been with BrokerLink since they bought out our local broker, and the service has been terrible ever since. Today was the final straw—I called to cancel my policy after finally finding a new brokerage, and the representative, Sonja, accidentally started talking about me before she actually hung up the phone. I guess she didn’t like that my answer to why I was canceling was simply, ‘I’m done dealing with BrokerLink.’ That level of unprofessionalism speaks volumes. If you value good customer service, look elsewhere—this company is not worth the frustration.
This company is terrible to deal with. We were with our brokers before brokerlink took over for over a decade. After brokerlink took over we transferred our home and auto over to new broker as soon as we could. The experience with brokerlink has been brutal to say the least. Any time i have asked to have something done it either has been done wrong multiple times or not done at all. We had personal and business policies with them. For my business I required a clearance letter written in a certain way. I emailed the exact information needed on the letter. They managed to get it wrong over 5 times. They even had everything changed correctly once but some how changed address and made it wrong again. This was done over a matter of 2weeks as well. Holding up my project. We still have one policy still left there for a quad asked to add one more to policy and was asked for this and that. I forgot to send one of the requested things. I sent all other info at 11 am. I wrote asking for a follow-up at 3:30pm to a response of you didn't send this portion. I would have thought that they could have emailed this back at 11am say hey received this but didn't see this will proceed when received, but instead had to chace them i thought they worked for us the consumer not us doing there job for them. Also was rude on the phone when originally contacted after I waited for 30 or minutes to even talk to a agent. Garbage service do not recommend.
I’ve been The broken link with my parents and myself over 40 years and they raised my insurance rate and renew my policy without my knowledge and I’ve asked him to call me back to escalate this. It’s been two weeks. I’ve not heard back from Brokerlink it’s been over two weeks. That just just don’t care about you. You are just a number to them. Find an independent broker that is not corporate.
I was shopping around for a new home insurance, and went through the online home insurance quote on brokerlink.ca. The quote I got was $1767 annually. Shortly after, I received a phone call, asking if I would be interested to get the "real number", which I found odd, but agreed to hear it out. I was put on hold for about 5 minutes and then connected to a specialist, who then asked me the same questions which I had already answered online. After about 20 minutes of going through the same questions, I got the "real number". The specialist, quoted over $2600, bringing the "real number' much higher than the online quote. Of course I said no thank you, and that is where our conversation ended. The result was, I wasted about 30 minutes of my time, base on what seemed to be a false online quote. Very disappointing, will never do any business with BrokerLink, because of the dishonesty I have experienced today.
I have now invested 5.5 hours of talk and hold time, dealing with four different people, and trying to get a very simple quote from Brokerlink for condo owner insurance. Systems seems to be down, no one to answer phones in less than half an hour. They make promises to call back (Alex) at specific times and then blow those promises off. I have provided exactly the same answers to exactly the same questions three times.... still no quote. These folks seem to have an endless number of technical issues that make it impossible to do simple business. In a supposedly competitive marketplace, this company would be swept away, but I guess it's just a rush to the bottom in customer service to keep those revenues coming.
