THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH.I purchased a Mercedes A class from Browns Car Company on the 22nd of March 2024. I paid £399.00 to extend the 3 month warranty that comes with the car for an extra year - I received a text message from the warranty company stating that my warranty had expired, so I called Browns to see if they could help me. They promised to call me back but did not, so I called the warranty company myself, they confirmed that the extended warranty had never been put through to them and all they had on the system for my details and car registration was the 3 months that comes with purchasing the car. I called Browns to update them and asked if I could have my money transferred back to me, again they promised to call me back and did not. This went on for a week. My partner has been into the dealership, I email daily and they do not respond - this has been going on for nearly 3 weeks now.I wouldn't even give this company a 1 star rating, but you are unable to leave a review if you do not. Honestly, avoid at all costs. - Reported to Trading Standards.

One of the worst company's I've ever got a car from

One of the worst company's I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Terrible after sales service refusal to take any responsibility for miss selling a car and failing to accurately describe it claiming it has extras it simply did not have to artificially inflate the sales price! Sold a car that was not as was advertised that had multiple faults and had been in an accident which I was not informed of and which would have been obviously to any motor trader! Not told vehicle had only 1 key which ended up costing £380 to get a spare. Both Headlights cracked, front grill broken, all new breaks needed two new front shock absorbers new ball joint on suspension all within 6000 miles on. £14,000 car total rip off mercents. Then to top it off on top of the £7000 I've had to spend on top of the scandalous price paid considering all the non disclosed work the car needed, i find out that whoever they instructed to replace the tyres and refurbish the alloys had sheered off my locking wheel nuts which has cost me a days labour just to have the locking nuts drilled off thanks to these jokers and cowboys! Would not buy a car from these clowns even if you paid me! Their idea of a fair deal is to return the car at the car at my expense from wakefield to essex then have the audacity to then deduct milage! I will be forwarding expert reports from mercedes benze and other experts as to the level of work required to bring the car up to any reasonable standards to trading standards this company should not be allowed to sell cars which they knew had multiple faults and simply was not as described. This company only cares about quick sales fast turn over not about the quality of car they sell. Stay away if you want to steer clear of a car thats not fit for purpose and which will cost you thousands to put right when i was assured all faults and work needed had been done, and where they don't care about their customers behind false fake smiles and the usual car sales patter don't be fooled, think twice buy a car from this company at your own risk.

We contacted browns car company ltd as we was in search of a bmw x5 xdrive with 7 seats panoramic roof white/cream leather in blue, from the first contact they was very helpful,within a week and a half the owner contacted me with the exact match that we had been searching for,we went to the forecourt and fell in love with it,we are now proud bmw x5 owners thanks to browns car company ltd great company great owner great service

Absolutely brilliant car dealership,no request was a problem,we wanted a shogun sport with as much spec as possible and that’s exactly what we got,amazing car to drive and a great service from all,will definitely recommend and will 100% be back.

Zero after sales service...

I bought a Jaguar XFR from Browns earlier in the year. Lovely car and at first all seemed fine so I left a good review. Fast forward a couple of months and the check engine light came on and the car is running lumpy. I took it to a local garage and they have spotted that the entire front end behind the bumper is in a shocking state. Accident damage, poorly repaired. Body filler and sticky tape holding it together and two radiators are badly bent. Phoned Browns twice to get help and they fobbed me off. Warranty which I purchased is proving very difficult to use. Looks like I'm going to have to foot a very expensive repair bill myself.
