im an ex car salesman and to be honest ive never experianced shit service or sales tactics as this.offered between £5000 and £6000 for my px blind was told it booked at £6500. i traveled a further 120 miles later that week to let them see the car (which is in good condition) to be told it was worth £1500. to take the car off sale they took by card a £200 deposit. once receiving their updated trade in i was humiliated and requested a full refund.i was told this would be done no problem, this is now 10 days ago and still no sign of the refund.no comunication from them. ive called and called to find out what is happening to my deposit with no answer. ive since reported this transaction as a fraud to my bank .
Well had the car since October 2024 and it’s been back in the garage numerous of times back and forth dropping car off for the problems still to be there I’ve been in contact with the manger numerous of times the car was taking in for sensors to be fixed and changed they put the wrong colour back on the car my car is white they put a grey one back in it the manger has said he will get back to me about it no reply ignoring my phone call it’s been 3 weeks since it was in the garage and the problems is still there I reported the work in march 2025 and it June 3 months to try and get it fixed I wouldn’t go to buy a car from there I’ve had nothing but problems with the car since the day I picked it up from tires sensors head lights and now parking sensors one guy said it takes 5 minutes to change the sensor I’ve been waiting 3 months
here do I start about this garage and car (cars4you straiton) it all started on the 16th of April 2025, I went to view a bmw 318d (BX66 VSZ), I decided I wanted to purchase the vehicle so I done all the necessary things for the finance agreement, I was told I would be able to pick it up on multiple occasions, everytime they told me I could pick the car up there was something else wrong with it, when I test drove the car on the 18th of April it was showing a fault with the battery and also the fan, which the told me they would check and fix, but as I said everytime I had phoned it hadn’t been fixed and they just kept dragging it along, they had to get a bmw specialist in to look it over as it kept overheating and the part they changed didn’t fix the problem! So I decided to terminate the finance and not take the car as it seemed as it was going to be a disaster and nothing but problems, I then asked the garage to cancel the finance and also asked for my deposit back, this was all done within the first 2 weeks, the garage was just messing me about saying they had done it over and over as I had phoned the finance and they had never heard a thing from the garage, then one of the salesmen decided to start ignoring my phone calls so I used my mums phone and they answered straight away, the man was very rude and very abrupt on the phone everytime I called, it is only today that the issue has now been resolved (29th of May 2025) after a long 6 weeks, the finance company had a massive issue with trying to receive the funds back from the garage even with them having told them they had done it multiple times but it was all just lies, the car has also changed to 2 different garages since I looked at the car and also dropped in price by £1000, I do not recommend anyone to go near or buy a car from CARS4YOU the worst and most awful experience and most distressing time I have ever had trying to buy a car
This review is from the experience my Husband had from the Straiton branch. Viewed car first time and it was great couldn’t wait to pick up. Was told then that it would take 7 days to get car ready to go. Workshop check, valet etc. Was in area a few days later and went to check out the car again. I could not believe it! Car absolutely filthy the wheels had been changed to much cheaper ones. Arches all scraped and a dent at the back. Spoke to “Manager” who basically did admit the wheels were changed and could change back to what was on the “pictures” on website. The scrapes would be the valeter! (Excuse me!) they will polish out and there is no dent! Said he would get all points fixed at his expense. Got extremely defensive and ended the call. Disgrace. Absolutely stinks wouldn’t buy a can of polish from them although clearly they don’t sell it the state of the car! RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE!!!
Well I would urge everyone to read the 3 reviews from Tracey as she is bang on correct.My Journey started 3 weeks ago buying a car and finance being paid out. 1 week later I picked up car. (JUST MOT'D AND 87 POINT CHECK APPARENTLY)Drove away and ABS and TC lights flashing and car jolting to left on road randomly. Steering wheel on straight was well to right hand side.Dangerous at best!! Took it back and was given a courtesy car which was also a death trap...Gave it back so both cars returned within 24hrs and finance cancelled. It took 30-40 calls and a visit to garage to finally 2 weeks later have the money refunded to my finance company.Absolute terrible service and the Director was great F2F and very friendly but didn't do what he promised. Car was a death trap and I would question validity of MOT. 1 of delays was valet but when picked car up it was very dirty and no fuel, filled up straight away so that cost me £60 ...Anyway some nice cars in place but in my opinion not to be trusted!! I see some replies from owner so let's see as I have all the evidence I need!!Ironically, when I was in garage chasing refund a couple called on speaker having just driven new car away a car to say something had fallen down under car and was dragging along road!! 87 point check my arse!!
