We returned the car at 6am no member of the company was there understandably so the keys were left in a key drop box as agree. by 10am i had received an e-mail claiming that we had damaged two wheels on the vehicle. No photographic evidence accompanied the e-mail. I responded advising i had not damaged the wheels and provided a video shot at the time i returned the vehicle which clearly showed the vehicle had not been damaged. On the following Monday morning i received two further e-mails with new claims of damage to the vehicle. 2 very small Stone chips on the windscreen and a very small mark on the drivers door. I did not cause the damage but was billed almost a £1000. I tried to contact there customer service helpline but was advised it was not for complaints. I was passed another number to call and spoke to a gentleman who was not in his office but asked me to email which i did but to date have not received any response.
We got the car for a week for a very good price via Ryanair website and additionally got upgraded to Toyota Corolla hybrid which was a pleasure to drive and super economical. We have used Carwiz on a few occasions and never had any problems. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. We keep renting from them each time we fly to Wroclaw and we would highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you
It is with great disappointment that I must report my experience with Carwiz, which raises serious concerns about transparency and customer protection in the car rental sector.I arranged my rental through Carjet and, anticipating the usual challenges, opted for full insurance coverage. Upon arrival at Wrocław Airport, I was surprised to find that Carwiz’s vehicles were not located in the designated rental area alongside the major providers, but rather in an obscure section of a long-term parking lot. No representative accompanied me to inspect the vehicle — a basic standard in most reputable operations. Nevertheless, I accepted the keys in good faith. After using the vehicle without incident and returning it two weeks later — at which point the staff were courteous and noted no issues — I believed the matter concluded. However, at 11:00 PM that evening, I received an email containing two low-quality photos and an invoice for €1,200, alleging damage to the lower plastic step (known as a “próg” in Polish). No prior inspection, no conversation, and no opportunity to clarify — just an automated charge. My subsequent attempts to contact Carwiz were met with complete silence. Emails went unanswered, and with my return flight departing in the early hours, direct dialogue was impossible. Repeated follow-ups were ignored. The entire handling of the situation suggests a troubling pattern: the claim appears to have been manufactured simply because they knew I had insurance coverage. This is not merely a customer service failure — it is a warning sign. When companies are allowed to operate without oversight or accountability, consumers are left vulnerable.I strongly advise others to exercise extreme caution when dealing with Carwiz and, by extension, intermediaries like Carjet who do not step in to protect their clients.
Avoid the if you can and always tak lotsbof pictures before you set off as they trying to rob you and accusing for damages. I contacted the customer service and was promised that they will return my money in two weeks. Nothing happened and they no answering my emails.
Avoid that company. They are charging for scratches inside of 2 years old Toyota (1360PLN). These scratches could be easily removed with a cloth and some polish. Their representative was absent at drop off (part of the contract) and I was asked to leave the key at airport information desk. At this point I should not be responsible for any damages, especially something that trivial. It is a scam and that is how they really earn their money.
Got a Toyota Corolla Hybrid as reserved. Great car all worked fine, I took only basic insurance and there is a deposit for that as in other car rental companies but this was returned within hours after I dropped off they keys at the reception in the Wroclaw airport.
