Review Time
These m efers signed a contract for 4 windows and I gave them half of the cost upfront. They were supposed to make the windows ready in 12 weeks but after 5 months and calling them several times, they kept telling me they would call me back in 5 minutes but never did. Finally they told me they haven't even started my project and the price has gone up now. I canceled my order. Stay away from their bull crap buy 2 get 2 free snag. They are lazy low lives and unprofessional.
I appreciated the professional demeanor in which Mr. Schrader presented your products and answered my every question. This is a big investment for us and he displayed patience and was understanding. I feel certain we will be utilizing your product in the future.
We had Champion install a sunroom over 15 yrs ago. The warranty has run out which we fully understood. One of our skylights began to leak so we called and scheduled an appointment for a tech to come out.I was informed that there would be a trip charge of $175 for the tech to come out which was fine.The tech arrived and was very professional and recaulked around the skylight and said that should do it. It should not leak anymore. Total cost to us $208.00. Great its repaired.Well think again.After the next rain the skylight continued to leak in the same places as before.So, I called again for them to come out and try to repair it again. They have the audacity to say we are going to have to charge you another $175 trip charge to come out and repair something which you already said was repaired. Thats some scam. Imagine if they had to come out multiple times to fix the same issue what that would cost.I understand the warranty has expired but they don't even stand behind repair work they perform.If it was a different issue I would have no issue paying a seperate trip charge of $175. Even after a call to Champions corporate office they would not waive the trip charge for the same repair issue.Thats a terrible way to do business. If i were you and you were thinking of using this company I would consider another company.
DO NOT USE Champion Windows!!! Our experience continues to be a complete nightmare that Champion does NOT want to finish!!! Our windows were improperly installed, they are NOT plumb, square, or level. Outside air blows in around the frames!!! And they left our home damaged from their improper demolition!!! Window trim/casing are cracked, broken and beat up. Window casings pulled from the walls. The surrounding sheetrock has nail pops from the rough handling/demo. The demo/installers beat the old windows out with crow bars and hammers. My husband called Champion for five days while their best installation team was at our house. We were told someone would come out and check the work. Nobody came out. Three months later, the local manager (Carter Adams) finally returned our calls and came out to view the damage. He was appalled at the terrible craftsmanship and related demo damage. Carter promised financial compensation, repairs to all damage, and proper installation of our new windows. We had just purchased the house a few weeks prior to hiring Champion Windows and everything was in excellent shape. We have called up the corporate chain and got no responses. Now there is new management that promises to repair all damage, install windows properly (with insulation this time) but they will NOT offer any financial compensation. At $37,500 total cost and a week of not being able to leave the house or work from home because the pounding was SO loud as they stood on windowsills beating out windows… one would think taking some appropriate amount off the price and signing a new agreement to repair the mistakes and indemnify us would not be a far stretch. Additionally, arrangements for on-site supervision of incompetent artisans and time off work will be necessary due to our mistrust in this unprofessional company. If this review saves one person the grief we have experienced, it will be worth the time spent writing it.
I was very happy with the sales rep Mason. He demonstrated the product very well. I would have liked a more detailed written explanation of what I purchased and how much of a discount I got. Then when I tried to find out when the windows would be installed I never got a call back. I finally got a time set up which is 4 months after the purchase date.
We signed a contract for supposedly CHAMPION siding which the sales man proved was the most superior siding in the market. They were thousand of dollars more than the next bid but we thought we were getting better siding and insulation. They delivered the same lumber company siding that all the others quoted. When we called to complain they said we could never prove it in court and threatened to put a lien on our property. We got screwed for over $10,000.
This is the second time Champion has built us a sunroom. The first one was truly wonderful and I am confident this one will be also. They explained everything in great detail and keep you updated every step along the way.They do a great job and we are looking forward to the completion and many years of enjoyment.
