They advertised fast chargers at 50kw and charge a premium with hefty fines for an overstay. Instead they deliver a fraction of the advertised KW but charge the higher price and fine you for getting all of 7kw in an hour. The systems changed and people had to call to activate a charge. I was at one of the main charging hubs and there was at least 20 cars stranded. Have spent over 5 hours trying to get through to them this week alone.

Answer your calls 📞...don't think so

Had a problem with a charger not recognising the rfd card...day 1 gave up after 45 minutesDay 2...now desperate gave up after 30 minutes.Customer answering times are truly dreadful...if you have an issue and there are alternatives nearby go for them...unless you want to grow a beard waiting for an answer..

System is now useless

System is now useless. Spend hours on the phone trying to unblock my account every day so I can charge up. Most frustrating experience. No sign of any fix. Has now been going on for over a week with no updates it’s like no one seems to care or is trying to fix this debacle. Not fit for purpose.

DO NOT NEED TO CHARGE YOUR CAR IN SCOTLAND

DO NOT need to charge a EV in Scotland. Especially in edinburgh. Woeful woeful. Always locked out of account. Cards don’t work. Changeover to new payment system a disaster.

Their systems have had issues for the past week which means that pretty much every time I go to charge my car I have to call to connect and disconnect. The system error keeps blocking my card and is pervasive so it’s not just me who is affected. The knock on effect is that the hold times are longer which increases the inconvenience and frustration. Whatever they are doing to fix it has not been working and has not resolved for over a week. There is very few alternatives so they effectively have a monopoly.

POOR SERVICE FROM CHARGEPLACE SCOTLAND

Charged yesterday afternoon at Kennacraig Ferry Terminal near Tarbert Argyll. In the evening tried to charge at Argyll College , Campbeltown. Charger would not accept card I used at Kennacraig. Furthermore, unable to connect to Charge Place Scotland helpline. Was over one hour on phone to no avail.Luckily, I got rid of my Electric Car and REPLACED WITH A PLUGIN HYBRID which gives me the option to use petrol rather than electric.

The most painful part of owning an EV

It's never straightforward with this lot. I've been driving an EV for 6 months and charging with CPS is painful. The app isn't fit for purpose. The chargers are often broken or have issues and their business processes and software are terrible. They've recently switched payment providers and since then I've been locked out of my account multiple times for no reason. I'm often sat on hold waiting to speak to someone to get issues resolved just so I can get back on the road. I'm sat on hold as I'm writing this review. 48 minutes so far and counting just to get the charging session started. Very very poor.

If I could give zero star

If I could give zero star, I would! Absolutely a nightmare...waiting time for customer service is over 1h - ALWAYS. After a day of work, all you want to do is to stay in the car another hour and wait for them to pick up to unlock your account due some internal system issues.

Not fit for purpose

What can I say, since the change in payment provider my card is blocked every time I charge. Phone waiting times are over a hour every time I phone. Service and network now not fit for purpose. Call handlers are helpful but as frustrated as we are.
