Review Time
We have had a horrendous experience with this company. We ordered a chicken house back in July at a cost of over £1000. They failed to deliver it on 3 separate occasions and never communicated when they failed to turn up. They claim to have 'processed' a full refund on 15th September which has not materialised, which will now involve us in further time instigating debt recovery. Don't waste your time and money on them, it's not worth it!
I bought a rabbit house with ramp and insulation. It’s fantastic and the rabbits have settled in well. The quality is exceptional and even in high winds and rain it feels safe and cozy. The installation team were second to none. So efficient and pleasant even though time was running on. And the team atCherry Acres were always pleasant and helpful. So why only 4 stars not 5? Two reasons. Firstly communication wasn’t great. They were very quick to respond to enquiries but didn’t keep me updated on progress - and in fact it was delivered nearly 2 months later than expected so I was getting worried having paid out so much money. Secondly the images on the site were not clear - and in fact I thought the ramp and platform would external to the main area when in fact it is only in the sleeping area. Also the ledge that goes into the main area was a bit of a worry as it would be easy for bunnies to jump over and it is quite high up. Don’t get me wrong - the rabbits love it but an option of extra ramps would have been good. I’ve actually placed an indoor hutch alongside for safety. But overall this is an excellent product and a good company
Absolutely appalling! Do not use. Had to pay upfront for my catio for my cat, no issues there. However when it comes for delivery I have currently been messed around 3/4 times and no response to why the current delivery hasn’t been received! First issue was that they were on holiday and people they used to build whilst they was away made issues with orders so they had to go back and fix them so will deliver a week later. Next was that they was running a day behind so could deliver on Friday - this was the Wednesday. Friday morning came around and lo and behold they couldn’t deliver because they didn’t have the right vehicle to deliver (even though they booked it themselves). So could deliver on Sunday. I have email evidence of this one. But today is Sunday. No delivery has shown up (no surprise there) And in the past they have said I couldn’t have a refund or some money off for some reason (I think it’s because they are a small business??) Do not buy as you won’t get your money back/ any help whatsoever just ridiculous. I have no issue with delivery via a side gate as well as on site parking!
We now have a fantastic bespoke rabbit mansion and cannot fault the quality or materials used in its construction nor the two family members that undertook the installation. They were both really nice genuine people and much happier than I would have been after a long journey from Kent to Bristol to undertake the installation.Our delivery and installation from payment took around 8 weeks which for a family run business is an acceptable time to wait, given we would have thought they have a relatively full order book, the size of the product we ordered and the logistics and availability to get to Bristol.Now there are a number of negative google reviews which is not good for any company. We experienced similar issues with cancelled deliveries for a number of reasons and we were increasingly nervous and started to read more into the reviews as you would when you make a sizeable outlay.However we were always advised of the delay and the owners worked with us to achieve the end goal.As a family run business you are more exposed to the challenges of running a business with material availability, staff shortages, transport and family issues all of which can impact on the smooth running and are unfortunate.What you cannot take away from this company is their passion for the product, their want to do the right thing, the kind nature of the people and the quality of the product.So if you do experience any issues hang in there. All good things come to those that wait.
