Very Impressed

I am highly impressed with this finance company called Close Brothers, particularly with their interest rate on my car finance. I had already obtained a car loan from my bank 2 days before I signed up an agreement with them, but when I found out that their interest rate was lesser, I quickly returned my bank loan and went with theirs.Sincerely speaking, their rate is very good and less compared with my bank. Thank you once again for the privilege of having you as my finance company.

BE VERY CAREFUL

BE VERY CAREFULMy monthly payment of £22 failed to come out, my bank said it would try again later which it didn't. I thought I would atleast recieve an email or message on the portal but no.Instead they immediatley charged me a LATE FEE OF £25. First and last time Ill be using close brothers.

Close Brothers Highly recommended Motor Finance Company

I had an issue with AB dealer [Feltham, London] who sold me a faulty car (which broke down on me not long after I had purhcased it). I raised this with the dealership but it was really difficult to deal with them as their team members were very aggressive and gave a lot of misleading / contradicting information & avoided accountability totally. However I was lucky to have close brothers as my finance company who managed to sort this for me. Their customer service was great and if I ever get a car finance out again, it'll only be with them. PS: I have also had my car insurance with them for a long time (before I even took out a car finance, and have never had any issues with them). You only know the true ethics and worth of a Company when something goes wrong, and I have never dealt with a better company in such circumstances. Highly recommended.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company! This arrangement has been fine until I cancelled my insurance. I cancelled my insurance for my bicycle. Premiums are paid in advance. I cancelled on the day of my direct debit, so nothing further should be due. I phoned Close Brothers to confirm and was told there is no outstanding balance. Within less than a week they have referred on to a debt collection agency for a balance that is more than a months' premium due. I cannot get a straight answer for why they now think a balance is due when I was previously told by them that my balance was clear and nothing further required.This company does not conduct business fairly. Avoid at all costs!!! The escalation procedure is unbelievable, especially without a fair explanation to me. In addition, I now have a debt collection agency chasing me daily for a balance which isn't due. The only way they will cancel it is via written confirmation from Close Brothers. It is absolute madness. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Paid upfront

Used this company last year no problem. This year has been a nightmare, paid half of my insurance upfront and next payment not due till April and they keep trying to take money out of my account . Spoken to 5 different people that have said they will sort it but haven’t . They are now saying they are cancelling my insurance on the 23rd and put my account in default even though they can see I’ve already paid half the amount upfront. I have just recorded my last conversation with someone and going to ombudsman about this .
