Absolutely horrendous experience and appalling customer service

Absolutely horrendous experience with our order from Sofas4U. The fault was mainly with DX delivery who failed to deliver on the day they said, and also failed to explain or update as to the reasons, and ignored ALLrequests regarding redelivery.But Sofas4U were complicit in their appalling customer support by washing their hands completely of the delivery chaos and failing to respond to any plea for help or explanation.And neither DX nor Sofas4U has at any time offered ANY apology for their incompetence which has so far lost me half a day's paid work and major family disruption.AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL - and we still have no idea when or if we will receive our order.Stay well clear!

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. Delivery guys great , furniture very shoddy I am reiterating, as you can see by my previous reviews that this company does not ever actually respond they issue a standard response and hope you will go away.American Express are now taking up my case as Samantha and co. simply fob you off and never reply to calls etc.Please note that TRUSTPILOT has also issued a warning

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Liars and thieves! My sofa was delivered and the two cushions were of different heights and firmness, also the sofa has strange pink spots developing all over the back and arms and the arms and the dye has worn off in places. Delivery the 27th if Nov reported issues by phone on 5th Dec and told I would be sent a link to make a formal complaint. Had to phone back 3 times on subsequent days to be told yes we sent the link, then finally told they forgot the dot in .com yet they were able to use the correct email when asking for the final payment I am informed that Samantha is only in from Monday to Wednesday but she is off sick at the moment so there will be a delay in response. I miraculously receive an email on the 15th that was dated on the 11th Dec a day Ms Samatha supposedly did not work and was too ill to reply.in the email it states I must have used chemicals or sprays on the couch so it was my fault but hey I can send you some paint that by their own admission probably won’t work. I am also informed that they have never had any such problems or issues with any other sofas, I’m sorry but the evidence here would suggest otherwise.I have documented all contact and photo evidence and screenshot all call dates and times.Been advised by trading standards and citizens advice that they are in direct violation of my rights under the consumer rights act of 2015 so if I don’t get a full refund we go to court and they can pay all court cost too.I am invoking my rights under the right of rejection and I am well within the 30 day period to do so as complaint was lodged the first week.For all you other poor folks that got scammed by these abhorrent creatures I want you to know that you have six months to file a complaint as trading standards deems a suitable timeframe to expect the product should not show any defects or faults.Don’t take it lying down people stand up and exercise your legal rights and if they don’t want to listen to you they can listen to the judge instead!!I wanted to give additional info, this company claims to have been incorporated in 2007 which is true however the very same company was dissolved on July 25 2017, it’s now trading as desingersofasforyou limited and seems to have had an incarnation as Original chesterfield sofas limited which was dissolved in 2013, all these companies have Ikram Salim Bohra as director so they are all the same. Now why would a company that is always selling the same products need to keep dissolving and rebranding unless there is something untoward going on…things that make you go hmmm

Queen Anne chairs and Footstool

My husband and I have just taken delivery of our Chesterfield Queen Anne patchwork leather chairs and footstool and they are stunning, we absolutely love them!! The whole experience of buying from designer sofas 4U has been first class from Kayleigh in sales, all who made the chairs and the delivery drivers. I would definitely recommend buying from this company and we will definitely be buying from them in the future. It is the first company in a long time that we haven't had any problems with at all. I was worried to read some of the negative reviews, but my 2 x Queen Anne Chesterfield chairs arrived today and they are awesome!Would have been 5 stars, but they were a few days late compared to the information provided when i purchased.Definitely worth the wait though

A set of two arm chairs that does’nt look like a set

rarely leave reviews, but my experience deserves to be shared so others know what to expect.I ordered two Chesterfield leather armchairs as a matching pair. While the leather itself is beautiful, the chairs do not look like a coordinated set at all. The arm-scrolls differ significantly in shape, size, and curvature, and even the leather layout looks as though it was done using different templates when placed side by side.I contacted the company, expecting this to be resolved under their 12-month guarantee, especially since their website shows sets that look consistent and well-matched. Unfortunately, the response I received was dismissive. I was repeatedly told that the differences were “normal variations” in handmade items — even though the variations in my chairs go far beyond what is reasonable for handcrafted furniture.What concerns me most is that all of the sets displayed on their own website look cohesive, including sofas, armchairs, and multi-piece sets. None of their photos show mismatched arm shapes or differing scroll profiles. Yet when I pointed this out, I was still told that this level of inconsistency should be expected, and that the variations I am seeing are not the result of a manufacturing fault. They also noted that, as stated in their terms and conditions, the images on their website are for illustration purposes only.After explaining that I understand it may not be considered a manufacturing mistake, this still does not mean the chairs should look like they belong to different sets. These differences are not minor, not aesthetic, and not something you would ever expect when buying a “matching pair” of premium chairs.After all the emails, the company ultimately refused to take the matter any further, classifying the issue as “personal dissatisfaction.” I asked a lawyer, but I found that it would cost me more than the value of the chairs.So my advice is: if you are going to buy a single piece of furniture, do it — their work is nice, and I do like my chairs individually. But not as a set. Don’t expect the chairs to look like the photos on the website, because those photos are for illustration purposes only, as the after-sales manager explained. If you complain to customer service, they will keep telling you it’s not a manufacturing fault, but that each chair is made individually, and that natural variance in foam density and thickness can occur during the upholstery process. Foam is soft and flexible, and small inconsistencies can occur from batch to batch. This what they keep replying to me, that it is normal and does not indicate a manufacturing fault.I know it’s not a manufacturing fault, what I don’t understand is how a set can be treated individually and why different foam batches would be used for chairs I bought as a matching pair, made to look as individuals?I attached the photos I send them, and some compared with there website photos, and to explain how every chair of mine, look like apiece of other set, from the photos of their website, that they are used for illustration use only, as they explain, so if you will order a set, expect, pieces which are made individually, so they will not look like a set be aware, don’t be misled by the photos on website, because those photos are for illustration purposes only, as I have been told, and its not motioned on the website, that you will receive individually manufactured pieces.

Beautiful sofa

Beautiful sofa , excellent delivery team , lovely quality , The delivery lads were brilliant . They unloaded , put my sofa were I wanted it , unpacked it , made sure everything was ok before they left , this was on a Sunday , after a five hour drive from Blackburn ,brilliant . Communication with Designersofas4u has been excellent too. 5 stars all the way .
