The same problem as you, I passed through Hungary on August 24, 2024, I paid the vignette and that woman maybe it was early in the morning and didn't drink her coffee because instead of 0 she put O on the car number, I only received the fine in November, I appealed, no answer, I decided to pay so as not to have legal problems and I made the payment directly to the bank account showd on the fine and when I called customer services they said that the fine was not paid, I sent the proof payment, but it seems like you're talking to the walls, no one answers the e-mail and the customer services don't help you at all, I suspect that the fine will increase even if I paid it.
Had the same scam experience everyone had with this fraud company. Went to Portugal on vacation on July 2023 and had a paid vignette with Pagatelia (via-T). I received two notifications and fines for Eur18,81 and Eur112,45. Pagatelia in Spain did not take responsibility although they claim you can drive through via-verde in Portugal. I paid. Today I received a notification from this fraud company EPCPlc saying I still have to pay. I’m starting a case with my lawyers against all of these companies. Don’t even bother to reply I should write an email to have my case reviewed by your company. Do your job and go after the companies hired by you to bully people into paying fraudulent fines. Fraud, scam, thieves, that’s what you are.
This company is trying to force me to pay money despite having sent proof I registered my credit card prior to using a toll road in Portugal. I sent the receipt via their website and also via the email address they tell you to send it to but they've completely ignored my receipt and rejected my appeal twice and continue to try to force me to pay with threats of increased fines. This is causing me considerable stress but I'm not going to pay fines when I've not broken the law and fully complied with the requirements. I feel like I'm banging my head against the wall with this company as they drag out the process and try to intimidate me into paying. Having already tried to appeal through their official processes, it is apparent they have no interest in resolving genuine appeals and are only interested in forcing people to make payment whether they have committed a violation or not. They have unfortunately left me with no option but to leave this negative review about their conduct and take this matter further through a number of channels to hold them to account for their disgraceful practices. I'm not sure whether this is done through malice, greed or flawed processes and total incompetence but whatever it is they cause people a lot of unnecessary stress in trying to get matters resolved.
I visited Hungary in february 2023 with also few other countrys that needs a Vignette. I buyed in each of thoose countrys a vignette and got a ticket from EPCPLC for Hungary.I buyed a vignette from OMV gas station, lady who works there asked me for car details and I provide it.Almost 2y after my travel I got a ticket from EPCPLC for not having a vignette.I wrote this for others just to be more carefull, I payed a tiket over 100EUR.
Also agreed with William McCahon review I also used M50 and are being chased for not paying toll even though I have receipts for all my journeys. More interested in getting money off you. Still no joy after second attempt. Date on receipt match letter. Don’t they read to see if it matches. Very unprofessional.
Got paper mail that i owe fine to them. That my car was photographed in UK in october. Its my car license, but i am from LITHUANIA never left a country , my car did not left a country. Total scam how the hell you can charge for total impossible thing . I was in lithuania , my car was in lithuania, but i got fine in UK for driving without paying .Response to comment: Picture you send is a TRUCK , my car is small peugeot(and on mail i got it marked as peugeot). You genuinely trying say you saw truck in a picture , you know my car is peugeot, and you STILL trying to collect fine by sending email from a country i never was in.
In April 2024 I paid 6400 HUF, charged in €’s @ €22.86, for a vignette at Hegyeshalom in Hungary. At approximately 22.30hrs at night, very busy as it was weekend before Orthodox Easter where the lady in kiosk was definitely working under pressure, I felt under pressure due to the queue behind me, so signed the vignette. Roll on 6 months and I receive first of two “fines” totalling approx £184 if paid within 60 days…..So I appealed, not sure why but I’d kept copy of vignette and receipt, although on checking the vignette I noticed that there was one letter wrong (ok I signed the vignette but the agent had the V5, she pushed it at me together with the vignette to sign, why would I imagine she may have “intentionally” entered the wrong information?Maybe they are on “commission”?Bizarrely it was rejected because I hadn’t sent a copy of the V5, which was never requested in the first place….I then appealed again by sending a copy of the V5 only to be told because I’d signed the vignette I’d have to pay £47.14 as a correction to the Registration Number, an error done by the agent, not me!So my question is although I agree I didn’t notice the V Instead of C the error was made by an agent of the Hungarian vignette authority……not by me!!If I had the money I’d contest it legally because I think by passing my V5 to the agent and her charging me to produce the vignette she should have done it correctly. All I can say is buyer beware and if you need to transit through Hungary, go another way!!
Received a demand for £91.37 (if paid within 60 days, otherwise rises to £229.64 ! unsure how they get to that amount) claiming we had no e-vingnette when in Hungary on 24/07/24.Absolute bull - sent them a copy of email dated 19/07/24 covering us with a 10 day e-vingnette paid with receipt. !!!I wonder how many people don't keep emails like this and are then bullied with inacurate information?Tried to reply online but i had to send info by post as i refuse to give them permission to share my data and thats the only way you can appeal - send them proof that they are scammers - to them other than royal mail.
