This is the worse ever bank to bank with. They have been holding the funds of my friends business since November claiming it is under investigation and they cant give a reason why they have been investigating for 90 days. She is at the edge of dieing because she has been unable to live her daily life because the bank has refused to release her money to her. All their staffs don't care and the money is sitting in the account and they have refused to allow her access to her money. Kimberly will soon die because you did not let her get her money from the bank and now heartland bank the worse bank in the world will steal that money for no reason. NEVER NEVER BANK WITH THIS BANK.
Hopeless customer experience. Stuck in queues for 30 minutes or longer whenever I ring them . No communication back about redeeming a term deposit then tell me they will escalate it then another 2 days go by without any reply so back on the queue again today for another 40 mins

I paid a loan off and its still showing as an overpayment a month laterIve called half a dozen times and they've said there's been an internal error.But it still hasn't been sorted.I would strongly recommend not getting finance thru them.They're absolutely hopeless and cause alot of unnecessary stress.
Total lack of customer service, and reporting wrong interest to ATO.I had a joint term deposit with them, and they reported double the interest to the ATO. 100% to my Tax, and 100% to my wife's, instead of 50% to each of us. I now have to prove to the ATO that this is wrong. I have phoned them on 2 occasions, and they said they will send me a statement, 4 weeks in, nothing? I then found a complaints email address, so sent off a complaint asking for help, 2 weeks, Nothing, not even an acknowledgement. Cannot even get a statement off there online banking site. I'm left dealing with the Tax Office, with silence from this mob that created the problem. Stay away, put your money somewhere else. I wish I had read the reviews before I went with them.
Avoid Heartland Bank! I applied for a basic savings account and was informed it was active. I increased my daily limit at my primary bank and transferred a large sum to Heartland. However, the funds didn’t appear overnight or by day four. When I contacted Heartland, they claimed the account was still under review, despite earlier confirmation it was open. I received emails asking for information I’d already provided, raising scam concerns. Even after answering, the account remained inactive. They instructed me to have my bank trace the transfer, only to find the funds were returned due to a rejected transfer. Frustrated by this terrible customer service, I’ve chosen to end my relationship with Heartland Bank.
Don’t understand some of the negative reviews on Heartland bank Australia.I can only go on my experience with them and was very happy.I had a term deposit with them which matured 12 August 2025 and needed money moved to another account at different bank and the same day it matured the funds were in my other bank’s saving account.The thing that people must understand is that we have to make sure we let them know what we need them to do with the funds and it will also help if people use the messaging feature in the online banking.I was more than impressed with the way heartland did everything so smoothly and quickly.I urgently needed the funds and conveyed this through messaging along with details of the other bank’s saving account.I immediately opened and funded a normal savings account with heartland as a form of loyalty but most of all because of the better than competitive interest rate on that saving account. THANKS HEARTLAND for a smooth and trouble free banking experience.Larry A
I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ACCESS MY BANK ACCOUNT FOR WELL OVER A WEEK OR MORE . HEARTLAND HAVE FIDDLED WITH THEIR SYSTEM, AND WHAT USED TO WORK WELL, NO LONGER DOES.AS MY PASSWORD NO LONGER APPEARS AUTOMATICALLY WHEN I PUT IN MY USER ACCOUNT NUMBER, I ASKED ONLINE FOR A CHANGE OF PASSWORD.SUPPOSEDLY THEY WOULD SEND ME A TEXT TO ENABLE ME TO DO THIS. BUT, NO, EVERY TIME I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYING TEXT WILL NOT WORK.TRIED RINGING THEM. PHONES ARE BUSY, AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NO OTHER WAY OF CONTACTING THEM.ALl I WANT IS ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT .HOW HARD CAN THIS BE?VERY TEMPTED TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT.
I only awarded one star as there is nothing lower. Recently tried to open an account online but ran into trouble with the biometric section. I rang Heartland and was assured I could open accounts at a branch. Went to Ashburton branch and was told I had to apply online?? I have over $1000000 to invest but now relalize that this bank is not to be trusted.
