Sent an incomplete open box item (supposed to have all the parts) and their online customer service is terrible. Their response standard is 5 days but their return standard is only 15 days!
Won't be ordering from them again.
Also, the 2nd item in my order is still showing processing 7 days later.....

I think Henry's has gone to $h!t since being purchased by private equity in 2023.

I had 4) 5x7 prints done. The clerk trimmed the photos and handed them to me. He misstakingly left one of my prints on the counter. I drove home only to find one print missing. When I call they said "Oh yes, here it is on the counter". They refuse to send it to me in the mail. I will have to drive back there to pick it up. This is poor customer service. I will no longer be a customer. If you order on line prints, they mail them to you.
Online purchase review. Bought a Hoya variable ND filter and on arrival I discovered the small "dedicated knob" to turn the filter was missing from the packaging. Started a service ticket online.... emailed after 1 week as follow up.....waited another week and called the store in Ontario where the item was shipped from. Individual at the store answered promptly, but was quick to state they didnt deal with online returns and I had to initiate a service ticket online. I advised I started one weeks prior and that was for the reason of the phone call. I was informed " they must have a backlog and I had to patient. Sent another email a few days ago but I have given up and happy this was only a $220 purchase. At this point have opted to fabricate my own piece.Very terrible service and will never buy from again. My next $3200 lens purchase will be through another retailer.You guys can go kick rocks. 🪨
I cannot say enough positive things about the 3 staff at the Oakville Henrys location I just visited to get my camera fixed. They were pleasant, helpful, resourceful and persistent to find a solution to my problem. Rare customer service these days. Thank you Henrys.
I don't know how they're still in business. They're like if the car dealership everyone hates having to deal with was a camera store. We'll be opening up a complaint with the Better Business Bureau later.Their customer service is terrible, and little things on their website that would make a big difference to the customer experience aren't done. Little fees get added on at check out that aren't mentioned before that. Things are advertised on their website with prices included, that you can't spend gift cards on, with no notice of this. I promised myself after my first experience with this company I would NEVER go back, unfortunately, my partner didn't get the memo and bought me a huge gift card from them for Christmas. And every single day I check Henry's website and hate my life because of this gift card. The one item I did find, that I thought I might like, ended up being sold out by the time customer service gets back to me (which takes days between replies).Knowing I have to deal with this company makes me miserable and it makes me feel really guilty that my partner wasted her hard earned money on supporting this place because thought she was doing something nice.Stay away, and don't buy your partner gift cards to this place. There are other, far more transparent, and more fair camera shops that deserve our support. Not this place.
This review is specifically about online orders placed through henrys.com, not in store purchases.I received the wrong product for an online order and was unable to get support to resolve it. Phone support has been removed. The advertised “live chat” does not connect to an agent and silently creates a ticket with no response. Emails and web form submissions go unanswered for days.Despite providing full documentation and following all instructions, there was no acknowledgement or human response within the stated timeframe. At this point, the only remaining option is a credit card chargeback.This is not acceptable customer service for an established retailer. If you need support, accountability, or timely resolution, I strongly recommend not ordering online from Henry’s.Buyer beware, a terrible experience!
I was a client at Henry's for over two decades. Never again. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars there as a professional photographer. They no longer have any customer service. They use a fly by night delivery service (Uni Uni) whose customer service is even worse than Henry's if that's even possible. I cannot get my order and I cannot contact a human at either the delivery company or at Henry's. Henry's no longer lists a phone number. You cannot contact anyone for support. You are literally on your own with no recourse. Worst experience I've had in years. I will never, never, never do business here again. They should be embarrassed.
Ordered a camera and lens online. Big mistake. The website glitched and they charged my card but there is no confirmation of my order. There is no PHONE customer service, which is just ridiculous. The online 'live' chat is not even close to live. Their email says I need to wait 2-3 business days for a response. I mean WTF. This is Canada's crappiest camera store. Go to Vistek.
