Good device and as far as I know accurate readings but strap could do with changing to prevent the monitoring device from moving around and charging station made so it clips the device in place whilst charging. I would definitely recommend it though!
I ordered the item, it arrived and the cuff was dead and the bracelet only with a 10% charge.So I popped them on charge and read the instruction manual- firstly it’s no good for anyone over 65 and a list of aliments, this was definitely not mentioned on the website.When the items were charged I set about pairing them with the app, unfortunately the cuff would not even inflate so the item couldn’t be used, I tried using the faq but it still didn’t work.I emailed and get an instant reply asking for details of phone etc, then nothing, then I got another email days later asking more questions, of which I answered then I got another email which basically insinuated that I was thick and couldn’t use it properly.So PayPal case started as I just want to return the said item and all requests to do so with the company has been ignored.
This is truly a life-changing device. It is absolutely great and takes on the chore of having to monitor my blood pressure daily as the Aktiia bracelet does it all for me. I cannot express how grateful I am to have this device. I am a very busy person and having to take my blood pressure using a standard blood pressure monitor twice daily, had become a chore for me and there were days when I could not bother even though I knew I had to monitor my blood pressure daily. Aktiia took this chore away from me and now I am not only reassured that my readings will be 100% accurate but also it freed my time. I don't have to worry and remind myself to take my blood pressure, Aktiia does this for me. I could not recommend Aktiia arm type blood monitor highly enough. It is truly life-saving for me! Thank you.
The systolic diastolic readings were consistently 10 points higher than the cuff pressure taken with my Omron BP device. I started to feel distinctly unwell after wearing the device continuously for a few days. I started to feel better after removing it. Remarkably I had a similar experience a few years ago, when I started to wear a wrist magnet. Exactly the same sensation which also cleared when I removed the device. Anyway, it’s a nice idea.
The theory, great idea, the product, if it works ok, the support, shocking. After about 4 months the device stopped pairing with my phone, rendering it useless. Im in a tag email match with support in sending them the serial number in different ways, on a form, on email, a photo….. it’s ridiculous considering how much this cost. Also, the strap is extremely uncomfortable. Thats a problem when you sre supposed to wear it 24/7 Support ticket 102036
Everything was going well, app and devices appear to be doing their job. However, I ran into a problem 6 months after purchase and contacted support.. There’s a fault in the device but it's still working so I want to discuss support. There's no communication at all from the support team (apart from an autoreply to inform you they're low staffed in summer, in October, and to send further details, which I did). Customer service seem to be working as I can see them replying to favourable reviews here and giving the support contact email for problrms, but anyone who has a problem is ignored. I'm glad I didn't recommend to my friends and hopefully it'll last a bit longer before dying so I can get some value from it.Cannot recommend at this time.Reply to reply from Aktiia: Never got a ticket number, just an email that a ticket was received. 8th October was the date of contact.
The device works well but when it failed it was a painful, time wasting and blood pressure increasing experience. The device failing was not a problem. It was that it took months of back and forth emails and passed from one department to another, often with weeks in-between contact before anything was done. I had to answer the same questions multiple times. There is no phone number to call or an offer of a call to quickly resolve an issue. Companies who don't list a support phone number or callback option should then respond to all emails within 24 hours. This company does not.All I can say is it's a good device but a terrible company to get support from when something goes wrong.
