Tumble dryer taking 2-3 hrs to dry clothes - household with a child with special needs.

Tumble dryer only got tepid heat - taking 2-3 hrs for one load laundry to dry so booked an engineer to come out on 21st November. Engineer serviced machine - said air is warm - pointed out not normal to take 2-3 hrs for one load of laundry to dry- tried to get me to buy laundry drying balls and said after service the machine was fine.LIES! couple hours after he left put a wash on and when it came to drying it still hardly no warm air from machine, still 2-3 hrs to get one lot of laundry dry. Not good especially when I have a child with special needs who has a bowel condition and laundry is a daily task in my household due to this. Re-booked for another engineer to visit on 28th November only to get a text today off Hotpoint stating the 28th’s appointment has been cancelled and re-booked for 1st December without anyone consulting me. Already gone 7 days not able to use it now have another 10 days in total from first engineer visit on 21st November to the second engineer visit on 1st December before it’s looked at again and fingers crossed actually repaired this time.

Impossible to speak to a human in the…

Impossible to speak to a human in the support team: the phone line says there's no one to pick up the call, you can't email them directly and they just stop responding on Whatsapp. They have replied to this review telling us to get in touch, but there isn't anyone responding. I think it's appalling that they will give you a generic reply on TrustPilot this quickly and yet no one responds to support queries.We've been waiting for repair parts for weeks. They send different engineers every time who all disagree on what's wrong, causing mounting delays. Every extra week without news from them is costing us +£65 in laundry services.

Leaky washing machine

Leaky washing machine - leaky customer service.Washing machine that has been leaking now for 1.5 years with one attempt at repair, that failed. Now they want £150 just for a call out, whilst at the same time trying to rope me into a "service plan" because it past the 1 year warrantee....They "HOTPOINT" are just interested in getting you on a service plan this, 12 months 6 months 18months....never ending.10 years on parts which means absolute nothing.Stay away from this brand. It used to be good. Now it just terrible.

Hotpoint appliances poor quality to encourage you to purchase extended warranty …

I purchased a new Hotpoint washing machine 6 weeks ago and the spin cycle isn’t working . When I called Hotpoint under the warranty the advisor spends most of the time trying to encourage me to sign up for a monthly payment of £5.50 to cover extended warranty rather than apologise for the machine failing to work when it’s practically brand new and broken already !!! Then I am told I have to wait 10 days for an engineer visit and lose a days wages waiting in for the repair. I understand that appliances can fail however 6 WEEKS OLD !!!!! which makes me feel that’s enough of a reason for the machines not being made to last as they then try to get you to sign up for the extended warranty !! Poor quality and equally poor service . I’m going to buy Bosh in future

I am absolutely shocked and…

I am absolutely shocked and disappointed with Hotpoint. My oven, which I only purchased in July, suddenly exploded without warning. The glass door shattered violently, sending sharp pieces all across my kitchen. My grandson was in the same room at the time — thankfully he wasn’t crawling nearby, or this could have been a serious injury.The explosion ruined the entire meal I was cooking, created a huge mess, and left me extremely shaken. This was a genuinely traumatic and dangerous incident.When I contacted Hotpoint, all they offered was a repair. No compensation for the expensive meal that was ruined, no acknowledgment of the distress or the risk involved, and no gesture of goodwill whatsoever. Considering how serious this was, I expected far better from a major appliance brand.I’m extremely disappointed with Hotpoint’s response and the lack of accountability for such a dangerous fault.
