This company had horrible customer service. I called the company stating that my package got stolen after seeing a man flat out steal my package from the front door cam history, and the agent didn’t care at all and just told me to call my credit card company for a chargeback. No offer to replace the package, didn’t care either that I wanted to rebuy the item if they honored the same sale price.
From the comments here, it looks like I am not alone.
On another note, the customer service in the flagship store is A+ but I would never shop online again and would simply encourage customers to visit a store physically. Still worth it as the products are great.
Lacoste customer service is horrible and return policy is so useless. They never take back the goods and there is just 1 fellow who answers all customer service calls and just makes excuses each time ! Horrible service from such a premium brand ! Thoroughly disappointed
"I returned a polo shirt unworn, brand new, with the TAG ATTACHED. Lacoste refused the refund claiming it was 'used'.
They emailed saying there is a 'loose stitch' which cannot be my faulte as i never worn it(therefore is a manufacturing defect!) and 'perfume smell' (impossible, never worn).
They are keeping my money even when i sent the picture of the tshirt, brand new with the tag attached. I have reported this to the European Consumer Centre. DO NOT BUY HERE. Order #51306607."
Absolutely terrible customer service. I bought a sweatshirt in the sale, washed it once following the care instructions, after which it was bobbly with pulled threads. I have tried and tried to contact Customer Service but they do not respond. I will not make any further purchases from this brand. Shocking quality and expensive!
I urge anyone wanting to purchase from Lacoste to pay attention to the reviews. There is a common theme of stealing people’s money and refusing to refund. We returned two items and were refunded for only one leaving us £100 out of pocket. The customer service team were rude and arrogant. They claim that the courier received only one item in the packaging something that we disputed. They claim that the cctv supports this but are unwilling to share the cctv. According to uk law the moment I hand the parcel to the appointed courier I discharge my liability and it is then the problem of dpd and Lacoste. After over 25 years of supporting Lacoste I will no longer be spending my hard earned money on their products.
What has happened to Lacoste? The worst experience all around. From quality, sizing to worst of all, customer experience/service. Clothes were not true to size. I ordered a few items, return some of them. Received an email about just one item being refunded. Sent an email, no reply. Called- its either go straight into asking me to refer FAQs which has not much answers. And call again, it says your wait is 3 minutes, I hold, after 5 minutes it changes to 6 minutes then 'your time is precious, please refer to FAQs, thanks' and hang up. I still haven't got acknowledgement of order returned nor a reply. I used to love Lacoste. If this is a public stock, I would definitely short this. I will wait for its administration.
If anyone like me has recieved appaling service and not recieved their items nor a refund and no engagement from customer services please report them to citizens advice or trading standards as after reading all these reviews it is quite apparent Lacoste doesn't care about its customers and they need to be held accountable for their atrocious practices. I even recommend getting in touch with watchdog as I have, as if their are enough complaints they will be investigated.I love lacoste, 90% of my clothes are lacoste and I spend upwards of £4000 a year on lacoste clothing. Whether it be direct from lacoste of 3rd party. My last order I spent £500 on 3 separate orders over a week period and one of my packages arrived damaged and open. An item was missing in said package. I had brilliant evidence as even in the DPD picture you can clearly see the package is open. Lacoste then makes me fill out a ridiculous form and provide passport ID to file a claim, which is disgusting. You didn't require this when i ordered. I've ordered something it hasn't arrived, I've provided you with sufficient evidence. I'm out of pocket and either want a refund or my item. They constantly ignore your emails. Lacoste just want your money and once they have it they don't care about their customers. It is honestly the worst customer service I have ever recieved. Please, if you read this don't buy lacoste. It's dead, they don't care about their customers. Read all the previous comments. All the people who aren't getting anywhere with customer service, raise a dispute with visa and your bank as every dispute affects lacoste. Then report them to trading standards/citizens advice as they really need to be held accountable because it is happening to much. Also a cheeky email to watchdog wouldn't go a miss, as if they have enough they will likely make it on the show
I bought a pair of trainers from Lacoste.com and I’m genuinely disappointed with both the quality and the customer service.I’ve only worn them twice in the last three months, strictly for special occasions, not for daily use, and they’ve already started falling apart. The sides have torn and the sole/bottom section has cracked, which is shocking for a brand at this price point. What made it worse was the back-and-forth with customer service. Over several weeks, I contacted them multiple times and provided clear photos of the damage, only to be told it was “normal wear and tear.” After two wears, I don’t see how that’s a reasonable conclusion.Overall, this experience has completely put me off. I won’t be purchasing from Lacoste again, and I wouldn’t recommend these trainers based on the quality and how the issue was handled.
