what stupid idiot came up with login.gov

great to have a site discussing my same issues with login.gov. its been seven days, every morning for two hours until my head is about to explode trying to break into login.gov. Two very important issues of mine, Receive SS and report a birth abroad all requiring to sign in with this BS login.gov. I have written books, i have used three-D programs on the computer i am not in the least, computer illiterate but not a chance in hell to get through the hoops with login.gov. waste of time trying.

Beyond deletion of account

Beyond deletion of account, there is no means of changing your authentication telephone if you no longer have that number!!!!!! This causes you to consider using the commercial version of government sign ins. . .what a nice fng situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oh, you can submit a SNAIL mail request. . .this is the dumbest attempt at high tech security I've seen so far

Most terrible debacle government is…

Most terrible debacle government is using. The “customer service” supposed to help when the sign in screen ONLY is not working properly are completely clueless. They don’t know why or when it’s not functioning, yet they are only “help” available. I have a FEMA account which takes usually 2 hours of repeated attempts to get it to sign in. Finally got in today going thru different address after never receiving a text code. Now 15 mins after I sign out I finally get 7 code texts one after another. Absolutely waste of resources! Cut your losses and dump that bunch. I haven’t even tried to go for my SS account, it’s ridiculous.

Security that does not work properly

Security that does not work properly. Poor design. Even after receiving a "code" on cell phone it wants even more nonsense that it claims we have saved (backup codes). They are transitioning Social Security to this horrible site and millions of elderly will just give up on the total nonsense they put your through. AND DON'T TELL me it is to protect my security.....nonsense...too many hoops that cannot be jumped through.

all i have had for last 15 years is…

all i have had for last 15 years is Skype and i can not use that phone number with this govlogin crap. I m 76, never even touched a cell phone, iphone, mobile phone, wall phone, all I want is to continue to enter myhealthevet as I have for the last 14 years and it has been working perfectly until some jerk in the gov screwed things up, starting January 2025, I knew eventually some worthless robot in the gov would destroy myhealthevet!!!! .

E mailed booking.com to take my house pictures off website they are still there said they would take them off in a few days ,in which as been months.i cannot log in as I don't have booking number .house is not holiday let was sold in July 2024

Total government garbage as usual

Total government garbage as usual. My usual SS login is supposed to be obsolete in a few months. Tried to switch to Login as recommended, already have more than an hour invested, never worked, now get a message that access is suspended based on "trusted partners". Fortunately, original login still works, but I expect another 1-2 hours of pure torture to finally get it fixed. If this was a private company, they would have been out of business already. Motto: if it's not broken, break it!

Good in theory but troublesome in practice...

Previous system used for years to pay federal tax owed. Never a problem. After this new system was initiated, it was troublesome. It appears there are two different "systems". The first is to gain access; ID codes (which did not appear to work). This prompted a call to customer service (multiple options). A half hour later I reach actual agency who is to receive the payment, so I give all the relevant information and succeeded. Each of the two times it took at least 30 minutes or longer. This had been going on for at least six months and no explanation. It is as if a firewall has gone up between the customer and any government agency connected to this system. I am apprehensive about the Social Security Administration adopting this system.

It's terrible

It's terrible. I've been trying for weeks to do this. Myhealthvet was great. Why change it? I've got everything on login.gov correct. Talking to a rep didn't help at all. The employees at local va office couldn't do either
