I bought some luxaflex shutters via one of their gallery dealerships, Material things, and they look absolutely stunning. They arrived within the expected timeframe and were fitted at a time to suit me. The quality is excellent and I've had many compliments from friends and family who have since visited. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend luxaflex and will most certainly be ordering more in the future.
Totally not worth the high cost and wish I had gone with the cheaper Somfy system instead. I had 6 PowerView roller blinds installed for around £4500. One motor didn't work, the LED on another didn't work, and the bottom cover was missing on a cassette. The blind fabric is not even when unrolled and curls at the edges.There's very limited documentation on the PowerView system and setting up the Hub so it took many hours of trial and error to get it working with my home network. Luxaflex will not help with anything and only tell you to contact the supplier.
In the spring of 2015, we spent in excess of £4,500 on Luxaflex Duette pleated blinds for the roof of our conservatory. Seven years on and every single blind has deteriorate to the extent that they have either split or will not open evenly. We have been told by both the fitter and Luxaflex that they all need replacing at a cost of over £4,000 inc VAT. It's clear these blinds are not fit for purpose unless we are prepared to fork out £4k every seven years.
I have rung Customer Services about a couple of different things and they have always been very helpful.However, I would like to make a special mention about Collette in Customer Services. She went out of her way to arrange for some samples from the Duette range to be sent out to me. Some product codes on her system were different to the codes I had, but she took her time to find the right samples for me. I really appreciated this.I look forward to having the Luxaflex blinds fitted in my new home.
Just had 8 Powerview Rollers installed in my new home. Really pleased with the quality and service. The blinds work automatically - going up in the morning and down at sunset - really pleased and surprised how quiet the motors are - you wouldn't know they were moving!
We have 5 small motorised blinds that cost over £3000. One of them has been malfunctioning and needs to be re-corded. Our original supplier is no longer in business. Have tried to get another provider to commit to repairing it via the Luxaflex web site. No chance - they will only deal with their own customers. Given their original cost, this is very poor aftercare. Beware of the ‘tough luck - buy a new one for another £750’ attitude, when what is required is £2 of blind cord and a perhaps an hour(?) of a knowledgeable fitter’s time. Welcome to the throwaway culture of this company.
