When choosing a new vacuum cleaner for our new house I thought i would treat myself to a miele. My daughter has a severe dust allergy so I needed a reliable and efficient machine.
Anyway, around a month ago I noticed that my miele vacuum bags weren't lasting, they were indicating they were full after minimal use and leaking dust all over the unit. I thought at first this could have been a fault with the bag (purchased from miele). Therefore, used another.. same happened.
I discovered the bag holder wasn't locking on the machine. I contacted miele .... they did not offer to replace the bags I had wasted due to this fault with the machine (as we know the bags are expensive) and to add insult to injury they tried to charge me for the replacement part even though my unit was only purchased in April 2025 so has at least 2 years warranty! It wasn't until I questioned it that they agreed to send me out the part free of charge.
Very poor and not what I would expect from a company who apparently makes appliances that are built to last.
Appauling customer service & product. I am new to Miele. Was recommended to them by my partner, so we purchased the CatDog boost vacuum and at first it worked great.. until it didn't. The pet hair carpet attachment just stopped working properly. I emailed Miele waited ages for a response and was told to follow the link to order the new attachment. I rang the service department and was simply told that only the vacuum is under warranty, the parts are not. Even though it's broken under 6 months ago and now doesn't even work as a vacuum for carpets at all. They expect me to purchase a new attachment for £85!! I have escalated it to the supervisor and put in a complaint. For anything you buy to stop working after 6 months is pretty poor, but then to be told by the company they won't do anything about it is abhorrent. I will tell everyone I know NEVER buy from Miele!!
Bought a Miele cleaner from Currys online: had to return as an incorrect part was included in the box hence unable to use - this was for my elderly parents. Couldn’t return to store as was an online item. You included 2 of the same type hose so we could not extend it.
I expected better from Miele.
DPD collected the item on 5th January: it’s now 28th Jan!! Where’s my refund? I’ve called several times & raised a complaint. Other retailers refund within 1-3 days. Why am I still waiting for a refund? Both Curry’s & Miele need to resolve this. If the correct part was in the box, I wouldn’t have had to return the item!
Our dishwasher broke down, and the service engineer came out 5 days later. He regrettably informed us that our 5-year warranty had expired in 2012, as we had bought the appliance in 2007. It had worked perfectly until last week, even managing to last through the January sales before failing with multiple issues that make repairs impractical. It's frustrating to have a kitchen appliance that you can't complain about. Quite outrageous, isn't it? Additionally, the response from the support team reinforces the idea that using AI for automatic replies to reviews still has significant room for improvement.
If I could give no stars, I would. This review isn't about the product itself, as I never actually received it; instead, it's focused on the poor customer service, lack of value, and the unreturned funds. I ordered a tumble dryer on November 17th, 2024, expecting a delivery weeks later. The delivery driver failed to call during the first attempt, and when I tried to reschedule through the platform, they altered the arrangement without my consent. The driver then contacted me while I was in Paris to say he was 10 minutes away for a delivery I hadn't booked. If this is an indication of the product's quality, I may as well stick to another brand. This was my first experience with this company, and it will certainly be my last. I am still waiting for my £999 refund, which hasn't been processed. It seems like another business holding onto customers' money under the guise of a lengthy return policy. My advice is to steer clear; there are much better options available.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The company really needs to rethink their choice of installers. The first attempt at delivering and installing my new dishwasher was a complete disaster. The installers couldn't figure out how to remove the old unit. Just ten minutes after they gave up, I managed to take it out and place it on the lawn myself, ready for them to pick up and replace. Fast forward to the scheduled reattempt on 23/12: I received a notification just ten minutes before my slot saying there was a failed delivery attempt. After contacting the support team, I found out the dishwasher had never even made it onto the delivery vehicle. Two days off work, two failed attempts, and now I'm supposed to trust them with a third. It's absolutely embarrassing. I would advise everyone to steer clear.
The plug of the dishwasher caught fire and completely melted. This situation is incredibly dangerous, especially with a baby at home. The company requested an independent electrician's report regarding the fire, which we paid for. The electrician confirmed that the problem was with the appliance, not the socket, and emphasized the danger involved. They then wanted to send their own technician, who also verified that the fault lay with the appliance. Two months have gone by without a functioning dishwasher, and I've had to follow up multiple times. The company has finally offered a 20% discount on a new appliance but can't provide one before Christmas, despite my efforts to get a response. It's a complete mess. It seems the company does not prioritize safety, and their once-reliable premium brand reputation has diminished.
The baskets of my dishwasher have started to rust after only 10 years, which is quite disappointing. My previous dishwasher lasted 15 years with no issues. When I contacted customer support, I was told the issue might be due to my handling or using non-approved cleaning products. This reasoning seems unreasonable unless the company acknowledges a decline in their production standards. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with both the product quality and the customer service response.
The baskets of my dishwasher have started to rust after just 10 years, which is quite disappointing. My previous dishwasher lasted 15 years with no issues. When I reached out to customer support, I was told it might be my fault due to scratching or using non-approved cleaning products. This explanation feels unreasonable unless the company admits a drop in production standards. Overall, I’m extremely dissatisfied with both the product quality and the customer service response.
We chose this brand believing it would offer premium quality and good after-sales service. Unfortunately, our experience has been the opposite. Our new hob has required two service appointments in less than two months, with staff saying they were 'waiting for parts.' Despite raising a complaint, we received no follow-up from management. We’ve been without a working hob for about four weeks, which is unacceptable for a family with children. A premium brand should have resolved this quickly. The product reliability is disappointing, and the after-sales care is even worse, making me reconsider future purchases.
